any puter nerds around?

since i can't go *out there*....my sis's dumb puter..i don't know wtf is wrong. i can't log into my mail, and lots of other shit..window pops up that says "error occured in secure chanel support"..what the hell is that? i checked her cookies,security,everything looks fine. just started doing this like a week or so ago. i called her isp and they said they never heard of it..as well as a freind who's a nerd. so if anybody knows what this is help! i can't get any work done lol....fucking puters:g
gotta go eat, but damn this thing! she uses IE, i downloaded nutscrape to see what that says, but she has a modem and i'm not waiting hours to install it, she can heh.

Unable to Connect to Secure Web Page Using Internet Explorer (Q181147)
The information in this article applies to:

SYMPTOMS

When you connect to a secure Web page, you may receive the following error message:

* In Internet Explorer 4:
An error occurred in the secure channel support.


* IN Internet Explorer 5:
The page cannot be displayed. Cannot find server or DNS Error.



CAUSE

This error message can occur for the following reason:

* The PCT (Private Communications Technology) 1.0, SSL (Secure Socket Layer) 2.0, or SSL 3.0 security check box is not selected.



RESOLUTION

To correct this behavior, use the appropriate method:
Method 1

1. Click Start , point to Settings , click Control Panel , and then double-click Internet .


* Click the Advanced tab.


* Under Security , click one of the following check boxes to select it:

* PCT 1.0
* SSL 2.0
* SSL 3.0


* Click OK .


Method 2

If your system is configured to use a proxy, do the following steps:

NOTE : The procedures that are described in this article may require information about your proxy server that can only be provided by your system administrator or Internet Service provider. Because of this, you may need to contact your system administrator or Internet Service provider before you proceed.

ah thanks;), i'll have to try next time i'm there. but i tried looking at microsoft and got nowhere so thanks!
..oh and if they need info from the isp like it says..they didn't know what it was lol. so they'll be a big help:p
