the sweetest baby boy has arrived!

ethan was born on the 8th of august and is WONDERFUL! it was love at first sight and we're all doing just fine.
i ended up having to have an emergency c-section and that was crap, but it was worth it to get him here safely.
he's all smiling and cooing now. oh how quickly time has gone. he's so lovely....i can't even remember what life was like before him now. maybe it's the sleep deprivation!


i'll go now...it's bath time. i'd post a photo but i never have figured out how.

everything is just fine. (besides the fact that almost all boy clothes i find have some sort of football or race car embroidered on them, but anyway...)

Aww. . . The time flies, doesn't it? Especially those first few years. Sometimes I wish I had been less worried/stressed about things and more relaxed so I could've enjoyed that time more.

Happy birthday to your little man! He shares a birthday with my baby brother, who is so not a baby anymore and is actually turning 18 this year. :D

we're having a small family gathering...a Blue's Clues extravaganza! ;)
it'll be this saturday, and then we'll have a special sunday with just me, neil, and ethan. i want to go somewhere special on sunday, but i'm not sure where yet. neil's taking off work monday, and we're going to get birthday pictures taken. oh...and we're having yummy whitman's bakery cake! a bit of a splurge. it better be GOOD. ;l

Whitman's is always good ;)
When Salem and I lived in Asheville, I would still order his cakes from Whitman's and drive all that way. I think he had a Rugrats cake and a Space Jam cake from them... And really, they aren't but a couple of dollars more [if that, even...] expensive than a grocery store bakery!
