i know i started a topic on this a while back, but i'm lazy and don't want to search for it...

i started taking them a while back - to get my good stores in...

and, i began by taking a few "sample" stuartnatals...they rocked!

then, i bought some from Walgreens - the store brand...worked fine...no troubles...

then, i recently bought some at Walmart - they're from "Spring Valley"...

and they make me feel SOOOO PUKEY!

what's up?

i just took one (a bit late in the day) and i'm all pukey and nauseated...

GA-ROSS!

i wanted to get used to these, so that when i'm on the GOOD kind in a few months (stronger during pregnancy??), they won't mess with me...

supposidly, the amounts are the same - from the Walgreens brand to this brand...could they be different in the TYPES of vitamins are added? Like, are there two different forms of Vitamin C...or A...or whatever?

maybe you're just already pregnant, nic! heehee ;)
i've always heard some pre-natals make women feel ill in the early months!
or, maybe it has some hidden ingredient you're not used to. (like gelatin type stuff, being veggie)

I think it depends on the brand. My first pregnancy I took them with no problems. My second, no matter what kind they made me sick. The store though didn't sell the brand I used before anymore and I was out of luck. I think they all just have different amount of different things. Maybe you body is sensetive to to much of a certain vitamin or mineral.
Or like reverence says, you could be preggers already :)

<--- knows she's NOT pregnant. ;)

i just came off of the ol' flow, and haven't even ovulated, yet...

i'm not quite there, ladies... hehehe...

but, this one DOES have some gelatin in it... i almost put it back, since i usually don't purchase anything with gelatin, but didn't. serves me right.

i'll be going back to my generic Walgreens brand, unless the obgyn gives me a better kind when i go for my check up in february.

:)

thanks, guys!

ps. happy halloween!

Nic, if you tell your gyno that you are trying (or going to try) to get pregnant, they should prescribe pre-natals for you.

I went to my NP last month and talked about trying to conceive and she asked if I was on pre-natals (cheap target brand) and gave me a prescription for them.

nic, another good thing to do before getting preggers is drinking tea with rose hip petals (helps to strengthen the uterus). The only kind I could find in the store is the Traditional Medicinals brand. The Female Toner is great for before, and they have a Pregnancy Tea as well.

p.s. have you been to fertilityfriend.com yet?

and, i've read that red raspberry leaf tea is really wonderful...

i've looked for it, but haven't been lucky enough to find it in a local store.

:)

thanks!! (now, if i could just eat something other than halloween candy and goodies today!!) ;)
