how long did it take your incision to heal?
i'm still having problems with mine every once in a while (after three months)
also, share any experience you had with it. i was relieved to have it because my son was in fetal distress, but it is a CRAZY experience nonetheless.

ive never had a c section so i cant answer - but im curious what kinds of problems are you having? is it still sore?
i cant believe how small the scars are from those! i saw my sister in laws and i was like whats that from and she said c section granted hers was 7 years ago now so its probably well healed but still.

the incision just never seems to completely heal. it still bleeds every once in a while (only slightly), so i use peroxide on it and it gets better. it's weird cause when ethan was still a few weeks old, when he would cry, the incision would have a sharp pain! that's stopped thank goodness, but it's still bothersome. mine was an emergency c-section, so perhaps it's a bigger incision than most. it's not huge by any means, but i thought it would be smaller! it's still all purpley. i hate it. it took me days before i would even look at it. the nurse made me! lol! maybe it's not healing properly because of some weird sub-conscious reaction i have to it heheh. weird.

have you tried looking around on the internet for suggestions?
i think there are some creams you could maybe use to help soften the scar and keep it from bleeding...
i don't know if it makes any sense, but could a child's cry cause your uterus to tighten in the same manner that a child's cry can cause a lactating woman to leak? *scratches head* maybe that had something to do with it, since they DID have to cut through the wall of your uterus...
it seems like you shouldn't be bleeding still...is it really dry? does it 'crack'?
*ouch*
good luck on whatever you find!

It's almost 6 months since mine and I'm still numb and I get real itchy on the incision. I can also "feel" my gut when I'm exercising or there's pressure on it but it's not pain. Post c-section has definitely been the weirdest my body has ever felt that I can remember. More than the pregnancy itself.

the incision seems to be back on the road to recovery again. weird. it's really not even the incision itself, it's like this bit of infected tissue just above it. i realizedyesterday that i had moved a king sized mattress by myself to put on another dustruffle, and i think that mayhave hadsomething to do with it and also why my stomach was sore. it was silly and i won't do it again.
i know they do this after vaginal deliveries as well, but MANwhen they press on your abdomen so hard to get the uterus to contract and get clots out....!!!!! OUCHIE!!!!!!!!!!! it was all i could do to not punch the nurse in the nose!
i was in bed for the entire night and i had to get out of the bed for the first time the next morning....that was the hardest part, then i was so proud when i could walk up and down the hallway! if i have another c-section, i'm gonna get up out of that bed as soon as i possibly can to keep that soreness from settling in. that's a bitch. eww and it was so weird when i stood up and PLOP out comes this gigantic blood clot. i'm so glad the nurse warned me it would happen or i prolly would have fainted when i'd seen it.
i didn't think it was possible to become any closer to my huband than i already was, but the way he took care of me AND ethan in the hospital...it was pure magic. i was so helpless and felt i had lost all dignity, but he was so brilliant and he made everything bearable. it made me love him even more than i ever thought possible.
but yes, c-sections are bizarre. bizarre. bizarre. bizarre.

eww i hope none of what i said gave you the creeps. i used to HATE it when i was pregnant and all these women were constantly telling me their war stories lol!
although, i wish i had known more about c-sections. i'd be glad to answer any questions you might have. it's still so fresh in my memory!
i didn't realize i would have a catheter, so that kinda weirded me out, but MAN i was SO glad i didn't have to get up and go to the toilet every five minutes anymore!
i justspoke to a woman who was in my birthing class, she had twins by c-secton and she had such a great experience and was out of the hospital after only a day and a half! i was in for three days and it was good for me. you have to have only a liquid diet for the next day, and when you get that first meal it tastes like a four star meal! i was so hungry (and a vegetarian) they brought me chicken and rice and i gulped it down like nobodys business lol!

nooo creams or lotions on the incision! If you are having a problem keeping the area dry you can use powder but nothing else (was what I was told). I know my incision got a little irritated because I showered and didn't dry the area off enough so it stayed wet and got smelly, lol it was gross. But as soon as I made sure to keep it dry it healed really quickly. My scar is already fading.
Rishta! oh my gosh I HATED the catheter at first. Since I didn't go into labor and I was so sick from the preeclampsia, I had NO anesthesia when they put the catheter in. I thought I would at least get my spinal first then they would put it in, but nooo. That was pretty bad. Definitely the most uncomfortable thing during my birth process. And since I had to be on a magnesium drip post-op to keep my pressure down I had to have it in the day and a half after too.
