He's my dirty little secret. I just can't help it, I think that for the most part, his parenting advice is great. Some of the people on his show are morons though. It's like yesterday's show...the couple that went bankrupt and spent over 4,000 a month on their CARS.
Today they have an interesting show on girls who dress to sexy, ought to be interesting.

i think he's great.
the show today was good, and it made me SO glad i have a son. i wanted to smack the smirks right off those little girls faces!
and these mothers who put their five year olds in pageants and dress them up like sexy dolls...disgusting! they're obviously trying to live through their daughters and i find it bewildering that anyone would let their child parade around like that. it puts really damaging life long ideas in their heads about what beauty is and all sort of other things.

I haven't seen it yet, I will at 3, I'm never awake at 9 am to watch the early showing lol.
Did you watch the potty training show? I thought that was hilarious! I have to admit though, making a phone call everytime your kid uses the potty would get annoying after awhile. I'd only use that as a last resort.

I can't wait to see what he says to these parents!

i love the potty one! i even wrote down what he said to do lol!
i agree about the phone call thing. my luck, the hero would be someone with a distinctive voice and ethan would hang up and say UH-UH! that was DADDY! heheh.
i like the baby doll thing though. when i worked in a daycare i used to do the 'pee pee dance' when a child would go potty who was just learning. we had a big ole party and danced around for ages. it was good fun.

hmm...i think we should be in the dr phil fan club :D

Dr. Phil rocks. Today's show was very interesting....but that 13 year old girl! Omg, I wanted to slap her! SHe totally disrespects her mom. I didn't agree with Dr. Phil when he said they need to negotiate. But I did agree with him about the 11 year old. What is an 11 year old doing wearing thongs?!

The show really concerned me cause I am having a girl. I told her she is not leaving *my* house with some of the things those girls had on! lol It's just scary. ahhh!

I haven't seen him since he got his own show. :( <br>It is scary what little girls wear to school these days...skimpy little outfits and more makeup than adults. Here the HS has a dress code yet the little ones who can't protect themselves from predators don't

oh slug he made potty training fun, I'm sure he'll show it again, but to make it short, he took dolls and had the kids teach the dolls how to use a potty, it was the "when you teach you learn" approach. Also, it made the kids feel like THEY were in controll...instead of the parents. He also used a method where everytime a kid would use the potty he'd get to call his favorite charecter (his was some train...I can't remember the name) from a t.v show. So everytime the kid would use the potty he'd get to talk to his fave. t.v charecter. It worked, but you'd have to get someone who is at your disposal at all times of the day to call.

Today's show made me soooo glad I'm having a boy.

The very end part REALLY upset me though. For personal reasons. I went to the website and wrote the webmaster (host whatever) and gave them a peice of my mind about 5 pages long. There's also a thread in OIT about it if you want to check it out. The fact that the parents wouldn't go on the show is proof enough that they know damn well what they are doing to their kid. it just made me sick to my stomache going to that website. people were chasting dr.phil for airing the web adress, but I'm glad he did, the more people who see it the more it will be known that these parents are sick and don't deserve to have that little girl.

here's the OIT thread.

See, I tried to put that segment out of my head cause I was soooo completely disgusted by it. :m :m How could you do that to your own daughter?! It's disgusting and I wish someone goes in there and takes down that site and takes her away from those sick people called parents! :m

Hi everyone

This is my first post here, so I wanted to say hi before I started.

As far as Dr Phil is concerned though........I love him. I think his advice is great because I like things straight down the line. On one site I used to visit I was told I need to be shot because I liked him. At least here I am not the odd one out.

I look forward to chatting with you all in the future.

Cheers, Vicky
