yes, that's right. I am pregnant again. We've known for a few weeks, but I just had my first prenatal visit yesterday.

The nurse and dr were very sympathetic to my anxiety and worries, so they did an ultrasound and I saw the embryo!!! Its actually there this time!! And there is a heartbeat!!! It was just a tiny little flutter but its there! I started crying when the dr pointed it out to me. He gave me the pictures too.

Im only 7 weeks and 2 days. So it is still really early. We am waiting until we get past the 13 week mark before we tell any family or friends here. But at least now we do know for sure there's a baby in there. We've got a fighting chance now. The dr said the chance of miscarriage drops dramatically once there is a heartbeat.

*crosses fingers, does kegels, and takes prenatals in hopes everything stays perfect.*

Thanks again. :)

My husband was so cute last night, asking what the heartbeat sounded like (of course I couldn't hear it in an ultrasound!) and what it looked like. I think he is sad he missed it, but happy its there. ;n

yeyyyyyyyy :O congrats!!! i'm so glad there are a few of us here now going through all of this baby stuff. it sounds like from your dr's visit that everything is going okay - i'll keep my fingers crossed for you, but i'm sure you'll be popping out of your pants soon like the rest of us ;)

we've been calling our little one billie jean bean until we find out if it's a boy or girl.

nic: bump it up! under the best of circumstances there's only a 20% chance you'll get pregnant in a given month.

Just got back from the drs. office. I had some spotting yesterday. *shudder* But I called, and my dr reassured me that its normal. I had another scan today, and thank God the baby is looking fine. Heart is still going strong. He said just to take it easy for a week. They don't really know what causes the spotting, and there is really nothing to do to stop it. But the baby is fine, so just relax and not do anything too strenuous.

Its just so hard not to panic though. I seriously don't know how to relax when it comes to this pregnancy. I worry when I have symptoms, I worry when the symptoms go away. Its only been 8 weeks! I still have 5 more to go until I can breathe.

Its so crazy how much the little thing has grown in just a week! I wish I had a scanner to show the two pictures side by side. Last week the sac was so small and the fetus tiny. Its like doubled in size in just a week! And the heartbeat was so much more noticeable too. heheh I want an ultrasound machine here at home so I can keep watching it grow! *laugh*

Just take it easy, don't lift anything heavy and just pamper yourself as much as possible!
oh and don't forget to breathe! Being stressed out is NOT going to help anything out. Just keep on talking through your feelings, and listen to the doctors. If they say the baby is doing fine...then just go on that.

we're all cheering you guys on!

i wish you had a scanner, too! i'd love to see the little bean!!! ;n

try to take it easy...i've heard that cramping and spotting happens...just relax, put your feet up, and let people pamper you! after all, you're pregnant!!

and, naws - i mentioned trying *this* month to chris...lol...he still wants to wait. quite honestly, i think i do, too. i guess. here's why - we leave for england in late april. if we conceived NOW, i'd be in the "safe zone" when we did the traveling. if we tried AFTER this cycle, i'd be too afraid that the flying, eating weird food, and the stress of travel could affect the baby while still in the first trimester. i don't know what to expect as far as food and whatever else...and i don't know if i want to risk that. ESPECIALLY if i'm sick early in pregnancy!!! (how miserable would our trip be THEN?) ;)

i'll get there...just you wait!

I am relaxing and taking it easy. My husband won't let me do anything at home right now. hehe I should take advantage of that! *laugh* He's even doing the dishes without me asking!

um...we actually had thought of naming our kid something that we were inspired by while there...like a city name or something...but, we already have a girl's name picked out...and half of the boy's...so, to correct you...*I* am the dork, here. ;)

faerie - keep us informed on your situation...i'm keeping fingers and toes crossed for ya!!!! and find someone with a scanner, girl!!!!

Yes I am taking a Prenatal. Im taking an OTC brand, I can't remember the name, but the bottle says it is similar to the Stuart Prenatal Prescription. My dr. doesn't like to prescribe prenatals, because the Rx ends up being more expensive than OTC. Which is true! My Rx was costing me $15 a month, where as the OTC were $5 for 100 pills at WalMart!

hehe speaking of names...my due date is July 6th, (the day before our 2nd wedding anniversary!). My husband keeps saying that if the baby is born on the 4th he wants to name it Freedom or Liberty or something like that! *laugh*

Thanks again for all the support. I don't know what Id do without this place sometimes, no one here knows whats going on yet so there is no one to talk to! We *might* tell the families on Thanksgiving. Now that we've seen the heartbeat twice, we feel a little more secure. We'll see.
