celebrity makeup/fashion..what would you change?

the christina topic in the Oh Baby thread got me thinking about this:

-as mentioned before I would pencil in christina aguilera's eyebrows. At times she has the faintest brow and it makes her look like her hair is a wig (maybe it is, but still).

-avril lavigne. I see this one with flyaway hair all the time! Drives me crazy. Somebody hand the girl some styling creme or wax.

when witchblade used to be on tv, actress yancy butler's makeup always irked me. every single ep had her in peach eyeshadow and mauve lipstick. the stila "walk in the woods" trio or chanel "planetes" quad would so have looked good on her. oh yeah and a little benetint lipgloss on her lips....well, this one ep she wore red lipstick. but that was for a love scene. go figure. :f

ok, so here's my 2 cents...eventhough i love jennifer garner of alias...

i can't stand it when she wears that orange lipstick (circa '85-'88) ie. maybelline moisture whip cool watermelon

I always think Jennifer Garner's makeup could be a little less "natural"...they go all out when Sydney's on a mission, but I think they could do something just a little more glamourous for her regular makeup too.

I don't have any specific suggestions, but Jennifer Lopez always either has a look that I love or one that I hate. In her recent video, for example, I think her eyeliner looks hideous (in the scenes where she's wearing that big pink fluffy hat). But in a couple of other videos she's looked stunning.

I agree with 3blindmice about Avril's hair...I don't think her whole look is that great though. It's exactly the same every time and I think it's kind of blah. She should branch out a little.

ditto on j. lo...but, love it when she's glowy and dewy.

and avril's flyaway hair...was very noticable this past week on her snl appearance. the lighting and closeups just worsened the problem.

My gripe with J-Lo is the pale lips. They look like crap and I hate them. Get some color on that girls lips.

Oprah's false eyelashes drive me nuts. I know she always says her eyes look bald without them, but I'd like to see her try to work with her natural lashes!

Don't like Tara Reid's black smokey eyes look all. the. time. She could try something else every now and then. Even in magazines when she's "updating" her look (there's been two, InStyle makeover and something I was reading today--maybe Lucky or Allure? can't remember), she still has dark eyeliner and pale lips. Then again, I don't like Tara Reid much anyway.

Ha ha, I think fake lashes look bad on most everybody...I was just thinking about how horrible they look on Ashanti in the new video w/her and Ja Rule. She is looking down a lot and you can just see them sticking out like a sore thumb. Yick.

I SOOO AGREE!! it's just not realistic to think that she would never want to tuck it. i mean, can she eat like that? delicious dish and i have discussed this before. it is impossible to eat while hair is in your face. ;l

I agree w/cosma on Britney's tanning....AND Christina,she looks friggin' BURNT ORANGE! As a pale person, it makes me feel bad that women think they NEED a tan to be sexy!

I also agree w/Jennifer Lopez's pale/nude lips. I don't think I've EVER seen her with colored lips! (besides in The Cell)

Sheryl Crow's lips in that one beach-themed video. I always think it looks odd when someone's lip color MATCHES their face exactly! It's like they have no lips!

I actually LIKE Gwen's makeup, it suits her retro pinup girl look.

well I can't think of anyone specific because no one's personal look really bothers me that much, but I do have one pet peeve, which mostly happens on porn stars. I hate hate hate when people over-line their top lip to make the lips look bigger. Drives me nuts!! And they do it with a dark lipliner and then fill in the lip with a lighter/paler shade. As David Cross says, it looks like an ass hole [read: anus].

Yeah, I never got why anyone did that...I didn't know it was supposed to make your lips look bigger. It doesn't work if that's really the reason people do it!! It just looks like you're bad at matching colours. :p

no, I mean, when they line their top lip they'll go above the actual lip part. Like their top lip is very thin so they'll pretty much draw more lip on their face.
