how to make kohl liner last?

I really like wearing kohl eyeliner. But my problem is that it sort of runs or disappears after a while because whenever I blink, moisture and the tears on my eyes hit it and make it run a little bit or just disappear. How can I keep it from doing that?

Use either MAC Smolder or UD's Soot. :)

I second UD's Soot eyeliner. I tried MAC's Smolder, but it irritated my eyes, so then I tried Urban Decay and wow..that stuff does not budge. It does't disappear, it doesn't rub off on my upper lids.

I'm a very happy Urban Decay eyeliner person. :p

speaking of kohl liner...

if anyone has seen Stages w/ Britney and knows how she does her eye makeup, please let me know. It looked like she does it herself most of the time and is very much the charcoal smoldering effect. I can't seem to find the right products/colors for that...I think I may not be going dark enough out of fear...

Jane eye kohls always work for me


oh and I have Mac Smolder, and it smudges all over the place, but I do love how it glides on so smoothly and I don't have to put on two layers to make it look like the color black.

Another recommendation for UD's Soot, it stays really well and doesn't really smudge or fade.

I don't know if you're lining your lower lids or upper, but I find a bit of powder on my upper lids keeps any eyeliner on better.

thanks for the recommends everyone. whatever you do don't use Maybelline's kohl liner, that's what smudges. I should have known better than to use their products, they've almost always disappointed me with their crappy products.

I seem to be the only person who DOESNT like UD's eyeliner. It smudges and fades for me. It must be my skin or something.

For me, Almay's Amazing Lasting eyeliner is the only one I have any luck with.
