Yeah I know it's August but I'm such a slow knitter I have to think about Christmas/Holiday knitting already :p

Does anyone else plan to give knitted gifts? I want to make something for my mom and for my sister but I haven't decided on any patterns yet.

Maybe your ideas will inspire me so let me know what you'll be making!

I feel like I *have* to give knitted presents, the way I go on about knitting. ;) But like you, I have to get started soon. I'm actually nearly done with an eyelash scarf that's for someone...probably my brother's gf.

My husband's family won't get it if they only get something knitted, I don't think, so I'm thinking of eyelashy scarves or maybe just knitted stuff for the babies...hats or something (maybe the baby devil hat). Maybe felted purses? I haven't tried them yet but I have yarn to make one... or socks, if I get brave between now and then...

I started some Fuzzy Feet for my sister, which are just a huge pair of socks that are gonna be felted. I started on them yesterday and I'm almost done with the first one already! I'm very surprised, I thought it would be more difficult.

Yeah I was going to split the Lamb's Pride I have between a booga bag and some fuzzy feet. :) I'm just scared of that pattern - but I really should just do it!

I was scared of it too! But I thought what's the worst that could happen? I consider myself a beginner. Prior to this, I had never knitted socks, used DPNs or did any sort of increase or decrease. And I did the first fuzzy foot in one day (except for three rows that I had started the day before). When I didn't understand something in the pattern, I would do a search on the knitting LJ community. There are a lot of posts on the subject and I always could find an answer to my question.

Now I just hope the felting will go well too! I've never done that either.

I'm also planning on making a booga bag soon! I'm just waiting for the yarn to get here :)
