The "Trick" thread reminded me that there are a lot of gay flics I still need to see. So if ya don't mind, tell me your favorite ones again. And I use the term "gay film" loosely, I guess I mean movies with sexually alternative themes or movies about gender roles.

Fire is an Indian movie...filmed by an expatriate in Canada...two married Hindu women fall in love... I LOVE this movie :)

blockbuster has taken foxfire, when night is falling and many other great movies off there shelves! the hollywood video in westtheimer has a whole section of queer films. me and my boy look so funny when we go in a get a stack of lesbian films! he he

I've seen the box for "High Art," but it's weird... I really don't rent or check into a movie unless I know what it's about, so I'll have to look :)

the place we get movies is mostly queer. they just dont see how we could be queer and dating someone of the opposite sex.
dove, rent high art. its about a woamn who falls in love with the photogragher upstairs. its really beautiful and ally sheedy is amazing. i should have bought the poster the other day when i had a chance...damn!

if you haven't seen BEAUTIFUL THING run, don't walk, immediately to the video store and rent it.... better yet, buy it..... you won't regret it!! It's a wonderful, wonderful film!!!! :-)

Get Real is good too, but Beautiful Thing is better... and that soundtrack!!! Sheesh, what a great movie!

My favorite ones are When night is Falling (amazing!), All over me ( I love Leisha Hailey!) and High Art... I still have to see Fucking åmål, which is a Swedish movie which is said to be absolutely wonderful!!!

ahhhh!!!! fucking amal!!!! in canada it was released as "show me love" - terrible title but the movie is sweet beyond words.
i think it's out on video in canada, not in the u.k. yet though, don't know about the u.s. ... all nerdy girls who fell for the most popular chick in school must see this movie. and so should everyone else.

I just saw but I'm a cheerleader, that was so good!!! I don't know why, I didn't expect much from it, so I was pleasantly suprised.....now I just gotta decide what to see next, a bi friend of mine just returned to the university after a semester off, so we're thinking about a gay movie night party, woohoo!
