I [post28] knitty!

I was really looking forward to the fall issue because, while I think the summer issue was cute, I didn't want to knit anything in it. There are a few patterns I like in the fall issue but with all my current projects + the ones I have planned, I don't think I'll make anything out of this one anytime soon either.

But the issue has a.... (spoilers ahead)

knitted wig! ;l ;l ;l

I really, really wish there was something like Knitty for crochet. Ever since knitting gained popularity and became kind of "hip", it's been easy to find really cute, cool knitting patterns. 75% of the crochet patterns you find are either old lady-ish, for babies, entirely too old-fashioned, or just plain ugly. I always end up modifying the patterns, or I just wing it and make up a pattern of my own.

Really, if I was smart, I would learn to knit also, so I could have the best of both worlds. :D

And that wig is pretty cute, actually! ;)

I want to learn how to crochet too someday. Right now I'm still learning how to knit so it'll have to wait.

But you definetely should learn how to knit! It's so much fun! And then you can switch from one craft to another. I taught myself from a book, so it's really not difficult :)

I looked at all the knitty patterns and went "Hm, too hard for me..." (You could also substitute pricey for hard ;) )

However I LOVE THE WIG.

I still want to make Bad Penny though...
