6 years! SIX! He is not my baby anymore, but my kid. And I can't even say little kid anymore. He's an actual kid. He got a Gameboy SP and a game from me and my parents. He grew up so fast. I remember back when he was only 2 and he would hold up two fingers and ask for 3 cookies. Or back when he would call candles whylows. Don't ask, because I don't know where he got that from. Or his first song that he sang from the radio, "It's getting hot in here, so take your clothes off". And now in less than a month, he gets to go to big boy school and ride the school bus. And he is excited about it. I'm happy and sad at the same time. I love the fact that he is growing up, and I encourage him about it all the time. Letting him know that he's a big boy now. But at the same time, that's my baby. I used to wake up at 3, 4 am, feed him from his bot-bot, hold him, love on him and rock him back to sleep, all the while watching MTV. I still have all his old baby clothes. 6 candles on the cake tonight. no whylows, but candles. He's my reason for living. He's my buddy, my partner in crime. I'm so glad to have him.
Don't let your babies grow up so fast. Love on them as much as possible.
