*sigh* i now have 2 pair of pants i can wear comfortably. even my sweats are no longer comfy... i hate the feeling of elastic across my tender belly. i've been looking for pants that i can wear this fall because i've got 4 months and 1 week to go and i'm gonna get really cold. i'll actually wear a sweater on a 70 degree day. i know, i'm a cali wuss. worst part... the only stuff i find that i actually want to wear is *not* what i need. did any of you mommas buy nursing tops for later in pregnancy? i was debating this for work clothes as they'll be useful later. but in the meantime i'm on the hunt for black pants and jeans that actually fit and are *not* capris. this is like the worst time of year to go shopping for mommy clothes anticipating a december baby. usually the sale rack at motherhood is great, but right now all they have are sundresses... they're beautiful and under 20 bucks, but they're not fall clothes. any advice?

ps. for your amusement... a nursing top that i think some of you can appreciate:

I just want to say i'm hating anything tight on my belly too. I bought these maternity jeans on sale for 20$, but I hate how they feel on my belly, and have only worn them a couple of times. So far I'm enjoying wearing fabric that is really stretchy or dresses that don't even touch my belly. I got these pants at target that aren't maternity, I just got them in a couple of sizes larger. They were from the sports/athletic section. That stuff is really stretchy and doesn't put too much pressure on my belly. I've heard Old Navy has good maternity clothes that aren't too expensive, and I've been meaning to check them out. So far I haven't needed much maternity clothes as I'm only 3mos along.
I don't know anything about nursing bras. I'm sure someone else here does though.
* *Oh the target pants were black capris, I'm only 5'1" so they came down to my ankles.

I got some cute jeans at Old Navy and also some denim capris. The prices were pretty good IMO. Motherhood usually has tops and stuff under 20 bucks but I recall the first pair of prego jeans I got from there were like 40 bucks. I'm really not into investing $$ in prego clothes - it just doesn't make sense to me.
I'm at the point now where I'm constantly pulling up my pants because they keep rolling down my tummy - and that's with the elastic belt thingy tightened. It's actually kind of frustrating.
For giggles one day my Hubby and I ventured into Mimi Maternity - I saw a cute T shirt and it was SEVENTY DOLLARS!!! We quickly exited, lol.

It's so stupid. I figure someone must being buying their stuff or else they wouldn't be there. But WHO?!

famous people. that's it. i was given a "viva la panza!" shirt. it's really cute. but i've seen them in places like due (out here in sb) for like $40. yikes! due is our chique maternity shop. they have some great stuff, but all i can do is look at the price and think, "i'm really not going to look fabulous enough in that to spend $40 on a cotton tshirt. although, i still want the 'lovin' my buddah belly' shirt, it comes in a box set with a baby onesie that says 'buddah baby'. i know, i'm a dork. i can't help it.
and by the way, doesn't the pie icon make anyone else hungry? that's about as sneaky as it gets. putting blackberry pie infront of a pregnant lady. i'm gonna be a giant meatball at the end of this. i really look preggers now, god only knows what's gonna happen in the next few months. not to mention, all the babes in my family are a minimum 9and1/2 lbs. i'm glad i'm not a shortypants. i'd be too afraid to get preggo.

that was my great grandma: shortypants. poor thing, she was like 5 feet tall in stillettos and gave birth to a 13lb girl (my grandma). i'm not even exaggerating a little. the birth certificate almost had me fainting.
