Phantom Baby Kicks

Anyone else have these?
One of the most bizarre experiences I've ever had is feeling tiny "kicks" from the inside....when I'm not pregnant.

After Ethan was born, I had one in the hospital. I had a long talk with the nurse about them and she said she still feels them to this day, and her last child was born 15 years ago. Weird!

I have to wonder if they're little spasms we always had, but never paid any attention to before we knew what a baby kick feels like, or if pregnancy does a (yet another) weird thing to bodies that causes this.

I just had one, and I was like WOAH!!!! ;l

It is so strange. I'd get one out of the blue, when I wasn't pregnant, and it'd always baffle my mind why that happened.

You don't even know how often I've felt those movements and have been like "wha? but...that can't be...can it?"

i get them too. i think it might be gas but its just more direct and twitchy and not the general rumbly feeling.

I can tell you mine are assuredly not gas. I don't get gas pains up high near my ribcage.

Funny! I get those too. I think it is just such a familiar sensation that you can't help but grin over.

Honey I get gas in my ribcage....around my heart.......you name it. I thought I was having a heart attack and farted in front of the ER doctor. I was embarrassed.

the same thing happened to my aunt! she thought her appendix was going to explode, so she rushed to the er after hours of discomfort and was admitted only to lay the most colossal fart of all time right when the doc began to examine her. my uncle still refers to it as the most expensive fart he's ever heard.

These twinges are definitely not gas for me.
They're not painful at all. They feel exactly like baby movements. Exactly.

That's why I said I don't get gas pains that high! ;) And my gas pains feel quite different than the phantom movement feelings. I've gotten a couple since finding out I was pregnant again and had to remind myself that nope, it's just those phantom twitches at the moment!

a few months ago I started gettting them. I notice them when I am nursing my daughter.

Crazy. I woke up one night thinking I was still pregnant.

I've never been pregnant and I get this sometimes too, I take it as muscle spasms?

After I had my first baby I got them all the time and I was thinking am i pregnant again?? now im pregnant with my third and it kicks so damn hard i feel like a foot is just gonna come hanging out of my croch!!

Ditto, usually resulting in the purchase of a pregnancy test. I've given more money to First Response after having my kids than before! Doh!
