My period decided to peak back to its rightful place this morning. *Sigh* I was rather enjoying not having them for so long. I got pregnant and nursed my daughter for 8 months. And then, I [relunctantly] decided to wheen (sp?) her and things just started to go downwards from then on. My face exploded with pimples and had incredible pms. I knew it was just a matter of time.
Oh, first time posting here. Hi everyone :)

I wasn't having a period so I asked a friend of mine who breastfed her baby and she told me I wouldn't have a period. Kick ass!! I am loving this whole not having a period thing. My son is three months old and I had my last period at this time a year ago. How sweet it is!

No period for 6 months has been heaven! Over a year will be a dream come true! ;) Sorry yours has finally made an appearance. :(

Thanx you guys. Yeah, you're not supposed to "moon" when you breastfeed your child. Of course, there are some exceptions to the rule but usually, if you're constant (every 2-3 hours everyday), you shouldn't have your menses. Since I'm going back to work soon (in two months' time), I've to wheen my daughter for when she'll go to daycare.
But I'm sad though. I love that special contact that my daughter and I have during breastfeeding time. Those loving long gazes and the occasional giggles made my day but alas. She's adapted herself well to bottled formula now and demands that more than the breast (because it's faster and easier). So out of 5 feedings, I've only the morning feeding she still takes, all the others are with the bottle.

Hi! [hugs]

Sorry to hear the period is back, what a bummer. Sounds like you had some very special time with your daughter. :)

I had a blissful 17 months without a period. It was great!

Sounds like she is doing well on formula, but you can pump at work if you want to keep breastfeeding for a while longer.

Thanx Tv, ;)

Supernova: I could pump at work but the problem is, I rent my machine every month and it costs me $65 a pop. Also, it takes me about 2 times in a day (or 2 days) to fill a 5oz bottle (as I only give about 2 oz per breast). My daughter is adapting herself well to the bottle but I give her the breast when she's looking for it between meals. I'm very proud to have been able to breatsfeed 8 months with my daughter (I had failed so miserably with my son). :)

That's wonderful. You should be proud, definitely. Just wondered if you had considered it since you seemed a bit reluctant to give it up. But you've obviously thought it out. :)
