This forum is called Childfree and Fabulous, so how about some positive posts on the childfree life? Let's forget about the annoying people who want us to have babies. Let's talk about how GREAT it life is without them. I'll get you started...
I LOVE sleeping in on the weekend
I LOVE buying new clothes for myself
I LOVE that I have a 'junk' room for all my stuff
We've had like two threads on this already.
Anyway, I'll play later. I've got to get ready for work and go make tons of money that I can spend on me me me alone!

This forum is obviously going to be slanted toward discussion of things that irk people. A lot of the other stuff - books I'm reading, movies I've watched, various interests, ambitions etc is going to end up being discussed elsewhere.
But I take your point.
Me? I like the point that I can work and consider working abroad without having to take the issues of schooling and disrupting a child's life into account. I like that when I travel, I can do exactly what I want when I want and with whom I want. I like that I will never have to drag around nappy bags or bottles or fuss about carseats or high chairs or wonder if a menu is 'child-friendly'.
I basically like the ability to make changes in my life - whether they be career, location or interests, that not having dependents allows me to have.

It's all about freeeeeeeeeeedom. It's hard to top the exhilaration of wild, unbridled, boundless, soaring freedom.
I love that I am not obligated to do ANYTHING. Everything I do is a free and willing choice. I can make plans with my friends (having lunch with a friend I love today – she’s a single mom, but she makes time to hang out with me, which I love), start my own business (did this last year), take spontaneous trips (going to Ojo Caliente hot springs mineral spa in the mountains on a cliff, between Santa Fe and Taos, this weekend), go out and stay up very late doing fun things (did this last night), drastically change geographic location if I want to (have done this a few times), sleep for twelve hours straight if my body needs it, then lie around in bed till 2:00 with my man (do this often).
I’m pretty obsessed with my freedom. :)

I think my current most prized thing that a child would take away from is my poker playing. I can go play poker at bars all around town 4 or 5 days a week with no worries. I can even stay out til 3am if the game calls for it. No little feet to wake me up early the next morning. Having a child would DEFINITELY limit my poker playing, even with a husband around... I can't expect him to take care of our sprogs every night of the week. I definitely won't be able to make my goals in poker (playing in the world series of poker within the next 5 years) if I have crotchdroppings running around everywhere.
I love everything about it. Everything. The freedom and the free time and the money I can keep to spend on myself. I can go where I want, do what I want at any time with a moment's notice. Every decision I make is about what's best for me, not about what's best for me and someone else. I like sleeping in, staying out late, quiet time and entire days without interruptions.

I like being able to have sex whenever I want, in whatever room I want.
I like being able to sleep when I want.
I like playing my CDs loud til 11pm without little feet padding out complaing about not being able to sleep.
I like watching graphic horror movies at 1pm without having to banish someone from the room.
I like being able to cuss freely, or walk around in my bra while getting ready for work, or basically just doing as I damn well please whenever I choose without having to consider a child.
