My friends had this picture of a baby on their fridge and oh my lord, it was the ugliest thing ever! Course, no one would say so, because it was a godson or something like that, but woof!

My nephew was christened along with about five other babies. I was sitting in the church pew, trying not to think mean things, when my older cousin leaned over to me and quietly said EXACTLY what I'd been thinking - "God, aren't most babies bloody ugly?"

The ones that really get me are the ones with curiously mishapen heads. Aliens!

Baby humans are up there with mole rats for me in terms of aesthetic appeal. I think humans are one of the few species that get cuter as they get older.

Oh Helen, don't you know that there's nothing more beautiful than an engorged nipple and a wrinkly, cranky newborn trying its hardest to get some sustenance so that it can grow into an active, loud and annoying toddler?

now, now Frank not all babies are ugly...just the vast majority. I've actually seen some pretty babies.

Jeez, maybe I don't want to see your screaming brat let alone hear stories about how you spent 19 hours in labor to birth it.

And this happens all the time the people with the ugliest babies ask everyone, "Don't you think he/she/it is cute? Isn't the baby precious?" It's as if they know their spawn is ugly as sin but are feverishly hoping someone might find it beautiful.

WTF??? I can't understand why people feel the need to videotape EVERYTHING their baby does. "ooh, he's taking a dump!", "look! He spit up!". That's gross, no one wants to see that.
