Anyone read this? I thought it might appeal to some folks around here due to it's dealing with a child-free marriage that goes haywire when one of 'em changes his mind. It's a work of fiction, but hits on lots of baby issues and the reasons some people have no interest in having them and the problems that rise up with bingo-crazed family and friends. It's a pretty interesting read, but just might have you tearing your hair out by the end.

Just thought I'd throw it out there for anyone who might be interested.

Ergh, chick-lit. Not my bag, no offence. Oh, and am I to surmise that the ending is predictably schmoopy and annoying?

I think the ending, IIRC, was only semi-appealing from what I read...

They get divorced because he wants a kid. She decides true love should conquer all and decides she will indeed have a kid. For him. At the same time he decides he just wants her back, kid or not. I throw up. They get remarried and it's left up in the air as to whether they're gonna have kids or not.Not my bag, no offence. None taken. Hell, I didn't write it. But I do admit that I enjoyed reading it. Liked it, didn't love it.

^ Exactly. It's not satisfying because...

... a truly childfree woman wouldn't change her mind and simply submit. Most childfree women take offense to the fact she doesn't stick to her guns, especially considering they enter the marriage with a mutual opinion to not have children, IIRC.

Most childfree women take offense to the fact she doesn't stick to her guns...And at least one childfree man does too. :D

Ah, so the protagonist betrays herself on a base level, but tru luv conquers all at the last minute, preventing her from ruining her life and ending up with a kid she despises. Interesting way of avoiding making an actual statement on the matter. Tru Luv conquers all, folks!

This is why I hate chick-lit. It makes the part of my brain that deals with reality itch.
