Oh that's exciting!

I remember my first day of high school (well, duh it was last year) and it was OK for me.

Mostly I'm thankful because I was friends with my brothers friends a bunch of juniors (now seniors!) so I had someone to go to lunch with the first week or so, because my brother had the same lunch as me.

The only hard part about the first day was finding my way around!

How did it go, Ellen? :)

He left bright-eyed and bushy-tailed and came back in a great mood, too. One of his best friends is on his bus, which is good, because it's an hour long trip. He already had nice things to say about a couple of his teachers, and if I can get Spanish replaced with gym, he'll be even happier.

It's really freaky to be able to remember your own first day of high school as if it were yesterday...then BAM, your first kid's there now, too!

Thanks for asking. My taller-than-me, bigger-feet-than-me "little" boy had a really good first day. :)

Awww, so glad he's enjoying it so far! I'm sure the grumbles will start rolling in about the same time as the homework. :p

Mine's been in junior high for almost a week now and is loving it as well. He's taking band this year. I tell ya'. There's nothing more frightening today than sinking $1k into a piece of shiny brass... and handing it to an 11 year old to play with. ;l

Oh. I just don't want to think that far ahead. No. My little one just started Kindergarten and that was overwhelming enough.

It is amazing how they get to these milestones and you find yourself looking at them one day thinking holy shit! How DID that happen???

You seem to be taking it well!

Glad all has been good thus far.
