I've heard people comparing her to Tori, and someone mentioned the song Babooshka, so I went ahead and downloaded it, and thought it was interesting. Any other good songs I should get? Or albums? Might not be so lucky finding albums here in the middle of the Brazilian jungle, but Napster will always be there for me!
Erm. Anyway. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Get Running up that Hill.
My favorite Kate song. It's trite, it's a cliche, it's just awful that that's my favorite I know. But it is.
Oh and Cloudbusting.
And if you can find it on Napster, get Utah Saints Something Good 'cause it samples Cloudbusting and meant a lot to me at one point for the weirdest reasons...

Antigone: Hello! Yup, I'm showing my face for a moment. Hope you are well. Do you like The B-Sides of the BIC CD's?
My fave Kate Bush is also Running Up That Hill.

just recently I gave Kate another chance since I was soo very disappointed by The Red Shoes. I listened to The Dreaming, since people say itīs her most difficult album.
and there are some really good songs on there:
Pull out the pin
Leave it open (the backingvocals at some point really sound as if it was Tori)
Houdini
these are the best on there in my oppinion
but the others (night of the swallow, get out of my house, all the love...)are also good
also try:
Breathing
the wedding list
army dreamers
they are from the same album as Babooshka
I don't think that's awful at all, Antigone. RUTH rules. I would also recommend the live version (with David Gilmour, Peter Gabriel and Phil Collins as the band) since it is a rare Kate live treat.
These suggestion threads pop up every month or so, but here is a list of good songs to download, in a rough order:
Moving (good song to get acquinted with Kate, at least many think so)
Running Up That Hill
Cloudbusting
This Woman's Work
Wuthering Heights
Hounds of Love
Breathing
Night of the Swallow
Leave It Open
Get Out Of My House
Sensual World
Army Dreamers
Hammer Horror
Experiment IV..
There are so many good ones but that's a good start.

OH, my favorite, hands down... Wuthering Heights!!!
God I love that song.
I also like Moving, Running Up That Hill, Jig of Life, Experment IV, The Kick Inside, The Saxophone Song (yep, I'm TKI fanatic!), The Dreaming, Suspended in Gaffa, Under the Ivy, Love and Anger, The Fog, Deeper Understanding, Reaching Out (I'm also a Sensual World fan).
And if you like weird stuff, try Violin, that's gotta be the weirdest song ever.

Napster cannot do Kate justice! One of the most fascinating things about Kate is how well her music is produced - the sound is incredible and the arrangements are so creative. I would suggest just plunking down the $18 or whatever for the remastered Hounds of Love CD. The extra tracks are very cool, but it's the original tracks that are so stunning. And remastered it's priceless.
However if you want more proof of Kate's genius before you buy, I would suggest DLing "This Woman's Work." If that doesn't convince you, nothing will.
Does anyone else find comparisons between Tori and Kate totally baseless and inane besides? Just a question.
