why does it cost so much? the idea of getting it seems cool but should just by the regular albums instead?

I only have Hounds of Love which I am obsessed with.

it has the first 4 albums plus 2 b-sides discs, and box sets are always super pricy anyway.

get THE KICK INSIDE. it's a simple pop-ballad record, but its so poignant.
THE DREAMING and NEVER FOREVER are excellent too.

"Moving", "Army Dreamers", "Violin", "Night of the Swallow", "Get out of My House"... all awesome!

Well I've loved Kate for years (since before Tori) but I never got the box set, I just don't have that kinda money!! You should be able to get all the albums seperately. I recommend her first album 'the kick inside', this is Kate, very young spreading her wings for the first time, she wrote most of the songs as a young teenager, there's so many great moments. If you wanna hear the real Kate doing her own thing then check out 'the dreaming' (4th album) she produced it and it's mad!! A real look into Kate's bizzarre mind, my favorite album!! The other discs are b-sides and these are harder to find serperately but they do pop up as bootlegs occasionally (disguised as 'promos' volume 1 is the best.....getting these is difficult although you could try ebay) Best Kate stuff ever? Her demos are the bomb!!!!!! There's a website that has them as MP3 if i find the address I'll post it. Kate and Tori rule!!

iieee > you may want to check out some online retailers in Canada for the box set; with the exchange rate you'd get an excellent price. Then again you may want to wait as remastered versions of all of Kate's albums with the exception of HOL are due out soon. Although the release dates for these keep getting pushed forward.

BTW - the box set includes 6 albums (all but The Red Shoes) + 2 b-side discs.

All I know is that if I grew up as a teenager in the 80's...she would probably be my favorite artist....I get that vibe from her although I just started listening to her...

I will definetily do what you all said and look around first....The Dreaming sounds exciting....hmmm
