Or Lack thereof i should say.

It's too bad that yet again Buffy (and now Angel joins in snubbed status) is left without Best Drama or any acting nominations. The MSN site basically says that Sarah Michelle Gellar and Alysson Hannigan were robbed. Even Eliza Dushku was snubbed for a guest actress nod. Figures.

On the upside, 'Hush' was nominated for best writing. I think it's abig step towards Emmy recognition. They're in great company with 2 Sopranos and 2 West Wing eps. I'm pulling for the (extremely unlikely) win.

Oh well, there's always next year.

I don't think it has anything to do with the quality of the show. It's just not the typical kind of show you'd see nominated for emmies.

I guess it's kind of taboo.

This is from TV Guide for the week of February 19 to 25...

TVG: What's with your annual Emmy snub?

SMG: I'm okay not being nominated. Honestly. I have an Emmy. When I needed acceptance back in my soap days, I could not sleep the night before nominations. I'd sit there, waiting for the phone to ring. Now my validation comes from the public. What aggravates me is that our show is always overlooked. [The voters] see us as a kids' show. They don't think WB is a real network. It's hard to fight that stuff.
