Okay, I know these threads crop up all the time, but there hasn't been one for a while, so- what is your favorite movie with gay/lesbian themes?
I watched If These Walls Could Talk 2 last night, and thought it was great. All you girls rent it! (And guys too, why not?)
I also like Gia (a must for all Angelina J fans) and Jeremy (I think that's what it was called).
So, what are your favorites?

Oh, easy: Love is the Devil (a Study for a Portrait by Francis Bacon)

British bio-flic about the painter Bacon and his muse/partner/victim Dyer. Maybury directed it, Derek Jacobi and Daniel Craig share leading roles, and Ryuichi Sakamoto might have composed the best movie score ever.

Brutal, beautiful, and tragic--a great movie.

i liked if these walls could talk 2 as well. especially the middle story. the first one was so sad :( the last story wasn't bad but i found it a little difficult to think of sharon stone as a lesbian.

another one i loved was all over me. leisha hailey is just too cute for words in that movie ;k

and well this one's not a lesbian movie as such, but any aussies out there (Tamantha) if you haven't seen love and other catastrophies, you should!! (radha and frances are both very yummy) of course you don't have to be an aussie to watch it. but being an australian film it may be harder to find in other places.

oh and speaking of radha, high art was good too. yes and gia and bound. mmm, yay for sexy girls!! lol :p

one i want to see is better than chocolate.

I absolutely Loved Better Than Chocolate.

If These Walls Could Talk 2 was alright. I agree with not an angry girl that the first story was sad...I cried. :a

OMG Gia was faboo! And not just for Angie. (Though she added mucho to it!)

But I'm A Cheerleader is quite cute and satirical. I recommend it. And besides...Natasha Lyonne and Clea Duvall are major eye candy!

i want to see but i'm a cheerleader. i've heard plenty about it but us aussies are pretty slow on the uptake when it comes to seeing movies. so i have no word yet of when it comes out here :(
and hmm, someone mentioned neve campbell. i loved her bad girl image in wild things, damn sexy!! :p

Better than chocolate was very good...very sensual...I saw another one with the brooding chick from the breakfast club, but I can't remember...can you guys help me out. That one was kinda weak I thought.

But I'm a cheerleader was very "typical" in the way that they "stereotype" the way the families act toward there kids being gay. It was hilarious though, & ended good. Eddie Cibrian is yummy in that movie, especially in the end scenes, what a bod!! YUM!!!!

the only other one I really have to add is-

"Heavenly Creatures" with Kate Winslet and Melanie Lynskey

And, I can't believe no one has mentioned "Boys Don't Cry." Is that too obvious.

Oh, and I loved All Over Me too.

there are just so many good ones out there
thats why really good ones dont get mentioned
i think but im a cheerleader was stereotypical because it was showing how silly anti gay predudice really is
thats my take. i thought it was a fascinating movie.

heres a sideline-
one that probably wont get mentioned is "butterfly kiss" skip this one if your looking for a sweet date movie. its more disturbing than words can say but they charactures are complex and tragic....

a new one is broken hearts club. its so funny inearly fell out of my seat! ra ra for dean cain playing gay!!!!
