Many of Kate's songs are inspired by films, this one included. I highly recommend 'The Innocents'. It is one of the finest ghost stories on film I have ever seen. In the movie a governess, played by Deborah Kerr, comes to look after these orphaned children, a boy and a girl, but they are actually possessed by the spirits of the people who were in the house before (the boy has the spirit of an adult man inside him). I don't want to give away too much of this movie but it is fraught with tension and the ending is awesome! The movie is based on Henry James' 'The Turn of the Screw'.

I love the french version of this song too - Un Baiser D'Enfant.

A Kate Fan one day decided to make a music video out of this song including clips from the movie.

This guy really knew his shit, because every lyric in tha song matched up with something so ironic and haunting about that movie.

Also, Kate is just such a winner on this song. I actually didn't like the song that much until I read about what it's about and saw that cool video clip.

This song is PERFECT! I absolutely love it and can listen to it over and over and over and over. So haunting! The piano part is gorgeous. Perfectly vocally intoned: "...I want to smack but I hold back...", "...to stop before it gets too much..."

Yeah I've seen the film.. made a point to rent it because it inspired Kate. Deborah Kerr was the lead.
