The lost album?

1995:- Erasure ask Kate if she will produce their new album... but she is unable to as she is 'working on her own album'.
1997:- Homeground suggest there could be an Autumn release of Kate's new album.
1998:- A UK tabloid reports that Kate has ditched an album of material and is going to start a career writing plays.
1999:- Kate begins work on a new album, with a release date now looking likely in 2002.

So, it would seem that Kate, perfectionist that she is, decided not to release the album that would have appeared around 1997/1998. Of course I'm looking forward to the new one, but am so intrigued by what might have been on this lost album...

Damn ! This means we could've had an album by say, 1996... if those rumours all were true. Now, Kate, this album has 2 come ! And it'd better be good ! ;)

I'm sure it'll be worth the wait! Even if the album that didn't happen wasn't the best, I'd still have cherished it!

hahahahahaha! Thanks Gareth! I almost did not see this it was still down a ways....wow....I had no idea....I wonder if any of that material will be on this album....well I guess we will find out in the future....hopefully Kate will do some interviews and things!
