Anybody have any thoughts on this?

I can go hunting for a good spot this Friday unless anyone knows a good location to meet during the afternoon?

I'm up for it!

But LMAO, it depends on when we start queuing; we might need to meet at the chapel!!

I am soooooo excited! I will never be able to contain myself:)

Well what can I say? Anybody who’s visiting this forum should understand that it’s not usually like a backstreet boys convention but… TORI AMOS IN A CHURCH WITH JUST A PIANO. Give us a few months and we’ll be back to intellectual conversations. I think this show for the Brits is just what we need to cheer us up (especially after the civil war in the forum last week [mike I’m on your side buddy]).

So after all the screaming and yelling at how we want/have tickets I want to really say how cool it would be to arrange a day to meet and get together.
The situation could go many ways. Lets face it most people who would consider queuing all day for good seats probably visit this forum, so we should make a plan. Maybe we could meet early and go hang out in Reagents Park (fairly near to Islington). There’s Camden next door to the church where it’s cool. We could sit around discussing all the naff stuff that we can only talk about together. I reckon we could have a pretty long day out and still have time to queue for 5+ hours… if that’s what’s decided. Having been to the solo piano show at the royal Festival Hall a year or so ago. I can’t imagine what it’s gonna be like in a church. The other thing is that although a front seat would be cool, it might even be better to be strategic and go for front seat on the balcony areas, who knows. We need past chapel visitors for that one!

Finally I am in no way claiming authority as a planner for the day, but think it’s one of the best opportunities we have to have an amazing day. Exited isn’t the word for it….

We rock!!! I think it's so great how we all worked like a team to keep each other informed and just think that when you were on hold for ticketmaster the other peeps on hold with you were probably your fellow denters.

We are all ;o ;o ;o

I really do want to meet everyone and do some kind of three muskateers thing..lol :) J/k anyway its a lot more than three!!!!

GalaxGrl ~ That is exactly what I was thinking! It was so cool:) I know I didn't contribute much to the team, but it definitely is a great one:)

Galaxygrl- its definately more than 3 but the 1200 musketeers doesnt have the same ring to it :)

as to meeting up on the day, im all for it, but my priorities are M&G (if there is one) and getting a good seat.

I look forward to meeting you all, Maybe we should arrange some method of identifiying each other.

when i went to the states for 5 1/2 weeks a had a t-shirt with the dent logo on. maybe something like that?

OK, now that the mad panic has died down and we've all got ourselves those important little pieces of paper, we should get our thinking caps on - it's strategy time, folks. :t

UKNorthernLad >>> You can check it out on Friday and let us all know of a good location for meeting up, perhaps. :l

Kathy >>> It seems to me you're gonna be in the area on Saturday, so you and Darrell can do a bit of a recce too, and suss out a plan of attack. I don't mean to be presumptuous or anything - but you live in London, don't you? :e

Obviously, not everyone will be arriving at the same time, so a predetermined meeting place is essential - even if it means meeting at the Chapel. I imagine I'll be getting to London around midday on the train from Sheffield, and from there I'm not sure how long it will take by tube, but I presume that's the best way to go. Someone tell me if this is NOT a good idea. :t

So to sum up: All we really need to do is arrange ONE place to meet everyone, and it needs to be somewhere close to the Chapel, in case some ppl arrive in London late-ish. So that's the main focus for the immediate time. If we can get this info by this weekend, we can then sort out organising directions and pointers to the Chapel for those unfamiliar with London (that includes me). :O

Yep I live a in London a few tube stops away. So I'll take a look round Friday.

If you travel to KingsX then your there just a couple of stops away too.

I'll try and sort some directions out before Fri PM.

we should all wear pink carnations like in spy films...or how about T-shirts saying 'tori fan'. Something tells me that won't really help us discriminate!

Well, got a little update guys. I was at KingsX today and had some spare time so popped one stop along the Victoria line to Highbury/Islington.

The Union Chapel is VERY easy to find, Just walk out of the tube station (Past the Famous Cock on your right) up to the main road, stop, look right and up and you'll see a building that looks like a chapel, well thats it really. 100m away from the station.

I had a brief look round trying to remember what people had asked:

There is a Macdonalds right next to the chapel open till 7am till midnight for who asked about toilets. Theres a 'fine wine' shop too.

Right in front of the chapel there is a very small sheltered bit of grass, and would be a god place to meet if the weather is good (hell what do we do about queing if its tipping down?) Oh there's an old style red phone box there too, I miss those!

There is the main entrance at the front and an entrance to the rear (the rear entrance is signed Union Chapel Project has band listings and stuff so im not sure where we need to go) So unless Tori has taken up parachuting or scaling 7ft walls these are the only ways in & out I could see.

But most importantly this whole venue is far to close to Arsnel's football ground, I think Tori should definately choose something nearer Upton Park next time! She should know better.

There are plenty of places to meet up near the Union Chapel...lots of bars and restaurants in the area.

Thank you SO much for these directions! I'd never heard of the Union Chapel before this (I thought Tori'd do Festival Hall again) so this is really helpful.

They sell some really cool t-shirts at house of frasier that have a stip of velcro across the front and they come with a packet of letters with velcro on so that you can make words and stick them on your t-shirt.
I bought one for galaxyguy..I should have bought one for me so that i could put my handle on it. I don't really ever wear t-shirts though.

I think we should all have a drink at the Cock!

So what time is everyone in london?

Galaxygrl
08-16-2001, 02:49 PM
You know I had a brain fart about this seating thing and do you really think they are going to let us queue ..damnit I can't spell q...that doesnt look right.
anyway what I was trying to say was..I really don't think they would let us q that early. So I don't think most people will have to be torn between a meet and greet and good seats. If they won't let us q, we could all go have drinks at the famous cock :n after the mng..IF they don't let us q.

As Kathy said earlier she and I are planning to go the chapel while we are in london on sat, so we can fill in any blanks for anyone :)

also I decided to put all the info up on a website, so that everyone can see it all in one place.I'll let you know when its done.:)

I'm all about meeting up! Maybe we can stand in line (I don't know how to spell q either Galaxygirl, we're so...AMERICAN!)/ sit together or near one another?

If someone names a good place to meet, I'll show up. Famous Cock? I bet Tori would be proud if she knew we were all meeting up at a place called the Famous Cock!

I'm leaving Bath at about 1:40ish so I should be there at about 3 or so. Maybe I'll get an earlier train.....

I just want to put faces with names!!!!!

UKNortherlad, you're right, I worked on a show there a couple of years ago and from what I remember there was only one way in (with the exception of fire exits)- through the main entrance - I remember because we had to hump everything in up the front stairs etc. - It was a nightmare!
I live in Walthamstow, so onlya few stops away from Islington like your good self - where abouts do you live out of interest???
Would be great to meet up with everyone before the gig - I can't wait!!!:D

Wew! I got my tickets through the post this morniging! the post man was being apologetic for being last while i ripping this thing out of his hands, I could spell my name while signing either..

Merman, I'm up the northern line near Colindale ot about 35mins to the venue from here. Do you know what the entrance is for round the back (I cant concentrate, Jo Le Taxi just come on VH1 classic, shit i feel old) sorry i was saying, yea I hope kathy can have a look 'cos im not sure, Its probably just some youth club or something?

Merman, what the inside like? Some one said no stage were all on the same level? I assume there are no balconies?

Yea were gonna meet we'll just need to sort a place etc...

Hi Sweety Sullen, you gonna get on big silver bird and come and watch this show on 30th?

Andy

merman1
08-17-2001, 06:31 AM
Got my tickets too!!! YES YES YES!!!
Um, from what I remember no, there is no stage, in that it's on the level with the pews, but a stage company came in and built a stage for us, so it's more than likely that Tori will have the same sorta thing!
Again, from what I can remember, there is a balcony, which goes right the way around the church hall, there's lots of beautiful architecture, check out this link to get a better idea; http://www.unionchapel.org.uk/Auditorium_specs.htm
I might go and have a wonder today, as it's my day off, will report back!
Laters!

merman1
08-17-2001, 10:33 AM
Well went for a wonder around the chapel...nice little green just in front, good place to have a picnic if anyone feels like it and if the weather is good of course.

OK, so lets get down to business, around the back is what appears to be a stage door (it has a punch code on it to gain entry - so that the chapel can give anyone who needs to gain entry the code and change it easily on a regular basis) only a guess but I reckon that'll be where Tori will enter! There also looks like there could be a large dock for a HGV to park up in around the back.
As for a meet and greet, I don't know where she would do this, never been to one before - anyone who has, where abouts has it been in relation to the main entrance and backstage entrance. Also when do you think it is likely that we will find out if there is to be one?

I don't know about buying a new t-shirt just to plaster my name on the front. Reckon I'll just shove a little plain white sticky label on my regular t-shirt. That way I'll be recognisable without be too conspicuous. Yeah, I know I sound really tight-fisted, but I'm strapped for cash.

How are the rest of you people gonna make yourselves identifiable? Or are we all gonna meet in the wonderfully titled "Famous Cock"? Won't be all that difficult to spot a bunch of Toriphiles in a boozer, I expect. I always did prefer a tipple to the rain.

Not sure what I'm gonna do about a place to stay after the show, so I'd just like to ask if anyone living close by will be able to offer me a place to rest my head for the night? The last train back to Sheffield leaves St. Pancras at 9:25pm, so there's no real chance I could get that, without the aid of H.G. Wells, at least.

What time do the tube trains run till usually? This is still not gonna be of much help though, cos I don't know anyone in London - well, there is Her Majesty ER II, but we've not been on speaking terms for a few years now... since I told her where she could shove her royal sceptre. :D

I'm reaching out here, people - anyone have a heart... and a hearth, perhaps?

So... Park or Pub? (I'm not sure Tori would appreciate my drunken antics, hehe)

Hmm, seeing as it's unlikely that we can rely on our British weather to fit the occasion, the pub for drinkies and grub would probably be the best option.

If it's nice weather I mite have a picnic, in the park or on the pavement ;) Whichever. Tori-themed food be great, y'know applegreen ice-cream, lemon pie, donuts etc. tho I expect our caterering shall be courteousy of Maccy D's for the day. Classy.

After checking out the area, Kathy and I both think that the best meeting places are the park on the right hand side of the Chapel (if sunny) or the white swan Pub (if typically British):)

If anyone hasnt seen the info page its
Here (http://www.kathyawaywiththefairies.fsnet.co.uk/Chapel/) and also everyone should post pics on Here (http://www.atforumz.com/showthread.php?threadid=68363)

LOL.. but is the park really big..? cuz if it is people might get lost ;)

and and... erm...

who gets to deside whats good and whats bad weather..i mean.. if its drizzeling.. someone could say its really bad weather and goes to the pub.. and the other one might think.. oh its not pissing it down yet so i will stay in the park.. lol?

So .. i think pub is cool place to meet and then we deside to go into the park?

yeah neah?

The Quiet Storm
08-19-2001, 03:10 PM
The park is actually really small. I would call it a garden actually. I don't think people could get lost in it. It's really nice. Personally I would like to meet there if it's fine weather, and go to the pub whenever. But either way is OK.... "park" means pretty surroundings, sitting on the grass; pub means food and drink and toilets. So either is fine by me

Is there a meetingpointish thingy?

and are we still meeting there in the park if its drizzling?

FaerieO'Cookies
08-19-2001, 03:31 PM
I suppose if it's only *drizzling* then it'll be okay to meet in the park area. If it's absolutely tipping it down then I guess the pub would be a better choice (We HAVE to keep the hair dry, 'cos we'll want to be looking our *fabbiest* for Tori) ;)

And, really, you'd think you'd wanna be on the front of Tori's next album, 'cos that's what she'll want us to do if she sees us looking so glam and fantabulaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

I just gotta say that you guys are all raving nutters with this talk of transparent plastic polka-dotted rain hats :). These things are traditionally worn by OAPs *shudder*... but it looks like we might just launch them into mainstream culture :D. We could be like trend-setters... wow! Pretty soon, everyone will be wearing them, and it'll all be thanx to us.

As for the join-the-dots idea, that was pretty inspired, merman1, and you were dead right about the real ales, too. Bet they don't serve Timothy Taylor's, though. Not to worry... I'm sure I'll be intoxicated just by meeting all of you people.

I'm going to stay well clear of the beer, I think. I've got such a weak bladder, I'll be peeing on the pews! That's not to say I won't be partial to a glass or four of wine though if you twist my rubber arm. I plan to get there about 6, as I'm at work in Old Street (a few tube stops away) during the day. I suppose you'll all be queuing (drunkenly) by then?

Actually, i view the pre-show botty pinching as a form of massage designed to help us limber up and prepare our bums for the wooden pews. If you're gonna make it fifty pence-a-pinch, Galaxy, you gotta do a three-for-a-quid deal, surely. And Darrell - don't expect me to perform the cream-rubbing :D.

Those americans can be so much pervier than us, so i wouldn't worry about how strange we must be sounding. However, i AM a little concerned about how bizarre some of us are gonna be looking, what with the transparent plastic, polka-dotted rain hats (should we call them RAINN hats?) and rainbow socks. Someone's gonna have to capture it all on camera for the sake of posterity. What a lark this is gonna be!

Oh, umm, sorry, *nervously gigglez* t'was me wasn't it?

Is it such a bad thing to suggest that we may be thought of as pervier than the Americarnos? I mean, they generally seem to be under the impression that they are better at everything than us....WELL I BEG TO DIFFER!! We CAN be pervier than them if we want, can't we? :r
Anyhoo, I have to agree, too much bottie pinching is unadvisable, wooden pews + sore bums = poo, mayeb less enjoyment, need for bum soothing cream, could soak thru pants and trousers onto pew, make you slippy, could slip off your pew in mid-Tori performance. :f :f Nuh-uh, not good.

This waiting lark is evil, just plain evil.

Hey Faerie - if you wanna get REALLY pervy, by all means be my guest. Just give me fair warning, that's all I ask. He he!! :D

As for the bum soothing cream soaking thru our pants, that's where the rain hats come into their own. Once we get inside the chapel for the show the rain hats can be removed from our heads and transformed, with a minor adjustment, into waterproof undies. :e Ingenious, eh? :l
And yeah... waiting for this thing to happen is driving me INSANE. ;s

If you cannot find polka-dot rainhats (as we have found) this is our advice...

Either:-

- use a shopping bag (we could be an army of Morrison promoters... lol)

or

- wrap cling film around you head and get another person to draw on polka-dots using a permanent marker...

(I'm thinking of doing the second one)

Cling film, eh? Are you serious? Course you are - you're a nutter! Your head's gonna sweat so much it'll shrink to the size of a pea. That could be quite humorous. I might even pay to see that. :D

If you go for the Morrison's shopping bag option, you could always scribble "Jim" on them to make it look like you're a Doors fan.

Ok, I have totally lost the plot here!

I had to go away for a couple of days so I don't really know what is going on meeting wise etc.

Where is everyone meeting?

On a side note: Kathy, I saw you and Darrell's picture on the picture thread and I must say, I LOVE YOUR HAIR! ;L ;L

hey da hey to all.
I'm bored. Thought you all may be fascinated by that. No? Oh well. But I can't believe we have 5 days to go. I mean, FIVE DAYS?!?! This is just cruel. *casts her mind back* I remember when t'was ye Eve of the tickets going on sale, and I was searching for spare pants (for obvious reasons if you think about it). I was just 'oh my god-ding', quite a bit.

I remember my preparations to ensure that I would get up early enough to order the tickets. -11am in the summer break is early, so 8am was a time that didn't exist to me, consciousness wouldn't be acheivable at that time...USUALLY.
Anyhoo, my preparation was as follows : I slept on my floor, with my quilt beneath me, but no cover, I left my bedroom window wide open, I left my stereo on all night (not that unusual), at a volume that would stir me from the depths of my sleep. I put up a sign saying 'TORI TICKETS, GET UP NOW!!!' so if I *did* wake up, I may be able to see it thru bleary eyes, and suddenly 'get into gear'. I couldn't even get to sleep for about 3 hours, methinks the combination of hyperthermia kicking in as well as music and more than anything, the prospect of getting Tori tickets, really didn't help.
Anyhow, I woke up at about 8am, arrived at the bottom of the stairs, still on my feet (surprisingly) at 8.05am (took THAT long), and tottered into the kitchen to be confronted by screams from my mother (she couldn't believe I was up SO early, and fainted). OKAAAY, none of the mommy screaming and fainting business happened, but she was doing it in spirit. Of course, my dear darling sister remained in a coma, hehe.

Then, at 8.45am, I was on the phone, mother's credit card in hand, shaking mildly from cold and excitement and 'ohmygod-ness', I needed a wee as well, while I was talking to nice Mr. Ticketmaster guy. Okay, I can't be arsed to bore you any longer. But that be the 'Story of Tori (..ticket ordering)'.
la la la to you all, and take care.
FIVE DAAAAAAYS!!!!

Toodles,
Eli

me.. mmmmm... it's starting to kick in now, the realisaton that on thrusday we're all gonna be seeing tori. i woke up this morning and the first thing my friend leah & i said to each other was "4 DAYS!" hehe.. they really were the first words we said :)

okies.. so whether it's 4 days (4 days and *then* tori) or 5 days (5 days until we're there) doesn't matter.. we like the sound of "4 days" ;)

From quickly reading around here I guess I'll turn up around 2-3pm as it seems there'll be a few people there then.

I think I'll unashamably just ask strange people if they're 'here as part of the forum meet up' hope I dont get too many innocent passers by, could get locked up.

As for you guys dressed in rain hats and rainbow socks, please dont ask strange people "are you a denter?"

See you all VERY VERY VERY SOON!

If I'm loitering, it will certainly be with intent... or perhaps within the pub. What better place to loiter than a drinking establishment! Well, the chapel, maybe... but there'll be plenty of time for that, won't there? At present, I have no rainhat and no rainbow socks... so thinking about it logically, I should be fairly easy to spot when I walk into the pub. Speaking of which... that's gonna be like some utterly surreal shit. It's not unusual to find a few crazed individuals occupying some remote corner of a pub, but to walk in and discover that 98% of the clientele are freakish-looking clones, that is normally saved for the realms of TV comedy sketch shows. Someone, please bring a camera. We WILL need to capture such a unique occurence.

Btw... which pub are you people meeting in? I can't bleedin' remember... and what's the earliest anyone will be arriving at the chapel/pub? I should try re-reading some of this thread, I know... but it's just SOOOO long now, plus it's past midnight and I really ought to hit the sack.

[EDIT]
OK, so it's gonna be even easier to recognise me now, regardless of my lack of rainbow socks etc, cos I've just woken up to discover a whacking great cold-sore on my bottom lip. Either that, or the sandman was pissed when he came into my bedroom last night, and he chucked a spadeful of sand all over my face and used it to make a dirty great sandcastle on my gob. What a twat! I'm gonna be waiting for him tonight... and he's gonna be out of work for a while when I've finished with him, I can tell you.

To top it all off, what little chance I might have had of fighting the cold-sore before it becomes really monstrous has been reduced to zero, cos it's Bank Holiday Monday and all the Pharmacies are closed. Typical.

It's so bloody typical that our faces should choose this week to erupt into all manner of pus-filled sores. The one week that coincides with the Tori concert and meet-up. How annoying is that?!? ;p

Still... mustn't grumble... we still get to have a laugh AND see Tori perform live in Union Chapel, don't we? Not even the bubonic plague could stop me. There would need to be some sort of freak natural disaster on an unprecedented scale to keep the little ole Pasta kid from attending that gig. I'd better stop tempting fate now - I'm not sure I believe in it, but it pays to be cautious.

I've just had a look at that Union Chapel panorama thingie, and the place does look so cool. But where exactly is the stage? I'm asking because I'm thinking some of those seats aren't gonna have a view at all...

So where is the meet-up? The White Swan? Any particular time?

So where is the meet-up? The White Swan? Any particular time? I know what you mean about the view, Gareth... but I don't really have an answer to your question. Wait a minute though... If I'm not mistaken, I seem to remember someone who'd been to a gig there before, saying that there was no stage as such. (S)He also said that no matter where you sit, your view is not obscured. Sounded too good to be true though, and still does. Mind you, maybe they meant your view of the person in front would not be obscured - that sounds a more likely eventuality, I think.

Come on people... who has attended a gig at Union Chapel before? What's the REAL crack re: seating and viewing? Is Tori gonna be on a raised platform, or what?

As for the meet-up in the pub, I'm still not sure which pub, nor where it is. I asked the same question yesterday, but have had no reply as yet. I reckon if you can be bothered to flick back a few pages in this thread, you might get an answer... but I'm still holding out for some kind-hearted soul to post the pub and its location again.

That's the sitch regarding the stage. There may not be one. I think somebody, mighta been merman1, who said they saw Lowgold there not so long ago, and again, there was no stage, the band were on the same level as the audience.
I'll be arsed (amazing for me) and flick to the page, and get the times and details. LAZY BUGGERS!!. :e

It's Faerie to the rescue... thanks for that snippet... but we're still not sure about this thing, and probably never will be until it's too late to do anything about it. Which means... if you want a good seat with a good view you're gonna have to start queuing early on and it would be advantageous if you've checked it out and eyed up the prime seating spots using the panoramic view thingy. It'd better be hoped they have some good security on the night, or I can foresee a crush not dissimilar to the Hillsborough disaster a few years ago, albeit on a slightly smaller scale. Tis making me anxious not knowing what my view is gonna be like. The rows of pews aren't on a slope as far as I can tell, which indicates that many people are gonna be craning their heads trying to get a view of Tori on stage... and I'm below average height for a bloke at 5' 8". It's time for some strategic thinking... hmmm... inflatable underwear?... personal cushion?... pile of hymn books?... which is the best option? Will have to go away and scratch my head some more.

Black Velvet
08-27-2001, 03:15 PM
In that case (the artist being on the same level as the audience) I'm thinking that a balcony seat would be better. Just gonna have to wait and see - and perhaps queue a little earlier than I planned!

Oookey oo-oo,
I didn't really get anything from trawling thru the posts, apart from discovering that me dear darling sister used my handle a coupla times to talk to a nice Greek girl -galazia- from the Tori Bulletin Boards, and *gasp* she claimed that... (It's too horrible) ...she claimed that the rainbow socks were HER idea. Ahem, I don't t'ink so, as far as I remember, I was the one who mentioned rainbow-socking it, or along those lines. *is disgusted* I'll give her equal credit, otherwise there may be trouble (tantrums, they're *not* good). Only kidding. Anyhoo, back to the important stuff.....

No 'official' time has been 'confirmed' for the meeting of us Torinutters ;) Some peeps are gonna be there quite early (maybe 12.30 - 1.30 pm), I'm can't remember if Kathy and Darrell said what time they were thinking of dragging their bums along, but les bums a la moi, ma soeur et mon bestest copain ..are probably gonna be there just after 2.00pm. A lorra peeps'll be there around 3.00pm, maybe 4.00pm, others finish work later or their trians are later (Ash et pals are gonna be there at maybe 5.00pm (??). So, really it's pretty open, but I'd say to most peeps, your decision, but quite a few of us should be there at 2.00 - 3.00pm.

Meeting: We are meeting, if it's pooey weather -raining, badly drizzling (is that raining? lol) etc. then we shall be in The White Swan NOT The Famous Cock as previously suggested, as the '..Swan' methinks is closer, has better offering of foodies and drinkies (beer, gawd *tuts*). If it's a laaverly day or just pretty normal (to some that's raining, but no, just 'blah') then we should be meeting in a wee little park that's either right next to or really really close to.. the Chapel. There's also a McDonalds across the road form the chapel, so if anyone wants a burger or to specifically use Mr. Mac's loo facilities ..ta-da.
Erm, whatty else *thinks*. Methinks most peoples are gonna start queueing after 4.00pm. Meself? -I will probably be queueing at 4/5 pm.

Anything else, just ask.

OK Faerie, just come out with it - you're a hermaphrodite, aren't you? All this business of your sister using your handle is just NOT true, is it? Either you're a hermaphrodite or you're a schizo - which is it to be? All your posts are just different parts of your personality manifesting themselves at different times. Quite frankly, it doesn't make much of a difference who you really are, cos either way you win first prize in the fruit-loop contest. :D Heh, heh... Just kidding!

The whole meeting thing is a lot vaguer than I expected, but it matters not cos there'll always be someone hanging around, either at the chapel or at the White Swan. Queuing from 4pm onwards is gonna take its toll on the old ninepins, I reckon. We can't very well sit around for hours prior to the show cos we'll be sitting on hard wooden pews once we're inside. We could alternate - sit for 30 mins and stand for 30 mins at a time, rather like the game on "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" where one person has to be seated, one has to be standing, and one has to be lying down at any given time. So who wants to be Clive Anderson?

Hey Tunip,
Saw your question about anyone else travelling from Ireland. Me and my sister are coming over from Belfast on the bloody 6.10am flight (:m ). Very early.

Had to be done though cuz the last time Tori played Belfast was '92 or maybe '94 and I only vaguely knew of her back then. Chances are if she does a full tour of the UK after the US she'll not be visiting us.

First time seeing Tori AND going to London so it'll be a very exciting / nerve-wracking day.

Ok, I'm crying now...WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME? I'm still laughing, Jesus!!! Can't anyone PLEASE help me? You're dangerous for my health! Oh I love you girls! Yeah, I'm the nice Greek girl... ;o
Hey, you girls, since you've been to Greece SOOO many times and you know our climate how is it there? How much colder is it? It wouldn't be Alaska for me, would it? Oh, dear, I can't figure out what clothes to bring with me. I think I'll freeze to death anyway! :t :t

I just presumed it was a brother/sister thing instead of a sister/sister one, you know? So I take it back about the hermaphrodite. Something to do with your name - Eli - I thought it was like the bloke's name - pronounced EE-LYE, but obviously I was wrong... but it was your fault for misleading me in the first place. *huffs and puffs - but house remains standing*

I only caught the last half-hour of the film last night too, cos you didn't remind early enough that it was on. *mutters under his breath* You're really gonna have to shape up, you know that? Why is it always me that has to be the organised one around here? Honestly, you folks would all fall apart at the seams if it weren't for me. *rolls eyes in disgust* :r

Oh, and if you're gonna slap me silly, Faerie, please do it in a pervy sado-masochistic way... I implore you! :D

*SCCCHHHLAAAAAAPS you and begins her run again* *realises she's on a treadmill, o no! She's running nowhere *cue 'de-nur, de-nur' music* -Will Pasta Basta(rd) (hehe) catch up with her and schmack her back?* "Tune in for next week's episode, folks!!"

My dearest Pasta, I am indeedy-do a girl, methinks it's important for me to let the people know the correct pronunctiation of my name. Erm, yaay! Right?? I know, I KNOW...just *too* exciting for words!
Anyhoo, my first name is actually Elisa, it's the English spelling of a French name, and you pronounce it like 'Lisa' wiht an 'E' infront of it, I know, genius right? ANyhoo, 'Eli' should be pronounced like you would 'Elli' and or 'Elly'. Sorry if I am sounding *really* patronising, just I've had to put up with being called anything similar sounding to my name, but my name, for all my bleedin' life, I mean, 'Elisa', is it really that hard? Yeha, I've had favourites l;ike 'Eliza' or even better, 'Elsie', I mean, ELSIE?!?!? -What the frick is that all about??

Anyhoo, the guide to 'The correct pronunctiation of Elisa's name" *ching* Are you sure you still want botty pinches off me, even though you know I'm *not* a guy? *sniggerz*

Galazia --hey hey chicadee!! *hugs ya* Oh, and 'I' was only Jess (UpsideDownFaerie) for the two posts when she replied to you. For the rest, and since, 'tis me :e *waves*
It hasn't been cold, it's been sunny and fairly hot, sometimes boiling, and when it's been pooey, it's been muggy at the same time (so warm, making you sweat a lil' but poo weather). No, it won't be Alaska, it'll be lovely if it's a bright, fairly warm day, so you won't feel freezing (you should cope)....and....WE ALWAYS HAVE THE RAINHATS!! (or at least, umm, I and Jess will -BLUE POLKA DOTS BABY!)
Anyhoo, my brain has decided to go on it's meltdown again, and I have to bugger off.
Take care,
*HUGE hugs for all*
Lorra love,
Elisa (better?? 'arf 'arf) :e

Funny you should mention that, Faerie, cos we used to have a few laughs at the dinner table when I was a kid. Being 50% Italian myself, we regularly eat pasta at mealtimes, and when my mother used to start putting pasta in my bowl, as soon as I thought there was enough I'd yell "Basta Pasta". Strange, you might think, but I say "No, it's not!" cos 'basta' is the Italian word for 'enough', so I was only telling her she'd put enough pasta on my plate. For the first few times we all had a bit of a laugh, but it soon became rather tedious, to say the least.

As for the botty pinches... I want 'em more than ever, now! And don't forget the sado-masochistic slapping session, when I'll be wearing nothing but rainbow socks... heh, heh!! :D Perish the thought!

:f I'm even making myself blush with remarks like this. :f

Me?? What about you?!?! DISGUSTING!! *turns away to be sick* hehe ;) Aww, I'm sorry hon. But Pasta, in *just* your rainbow socks, tut tut *wags finger at you* I'm a young, naive, innocent little girl *puts on sweet smile and flutters eyelashes* I don't know. Don't blemish my thoughts of rainbow socks. That's so wrong!

If only your mother knew, she'd sort you out. Wouldn't she? *hopes*
YOu blush at your comments, yeah, sure, mmm mmm, we believe you. *shouts* "RUN GIRLS, RUUUUUUUUUUUN!!"
Only kidding.
Well, I'm off to 'bake' myself one of those great culinary masterpieces ......A Pot Noodle !! (I couldn't be arsed to eat one of mommy's proper meals, now I'm hungry).
POT NOODLES, WE SALUTE YOU!!
