Are there any products you really love?
Right now, I'm using a mishmash of brands. Every morning and night I cleanse and moisturize. About twice a week I exfoliate. About once a week I use a mask. I haven't found any skin care products I love yet, only some that I hate and some that I like, but I'm looking for the perfect skin care line for me :)

Coming from the standpoint of an esthetician, you are better to stick with one line for your cleanser, toner/astringent, and moisturizer. They are normally formulated to work together to achieve results. I've used Aveda's lines, which I loved but my skin did not. I've also used Origins, which wasn't bad, and now I'm using Mario Badescu. I've only been on Badescu for about a week now, so it's too soon to formulate much of an opinion. So far they are nice. :)

I try to keep my routine as simple as possible, because my skin gets easily irritated.
I use the same stuff morning and night:
1.Shiseido The Skincare Gentle Cleansing Foam.
I love this cleanser. It softens the skin and is very concentrated. Stings my eyes though, so I need a separate makeup remover.
2. Shiseido The Skincare Hydro-refining Softener: A slightly gelified "toner". Gives extra moisture when your regular moistujrizer isn't enough.
3. Shiseido Bio-Performance Advance Super Revitalizer. Pretentious name for what is basically a moisturizer, but it's really divine! A rich gel cream that truly moisturizes the skin without making it oily. The texture and consistency makes it a joy to apply.
This is my usual routine, but I have loads of stuff that I alternate between. I get bored easily and need to try new stuff. I very rarely exfoliate or use masks though.

neutrogena oil-free cleanser
when i'm feeling particularly oily, some toner (too many to list!)
neutrogena acne vitamin treatment
then some oil free moisturizing sunscreen spf 15
then at night, i also put on some neutrogena deep pore cleanser, and if i need it, some benzoyl peroxide on the pimples. every three days or so, i use St Ives Apricot Scrub and every week I use a mask i make out of oatmeal, egg whites, and honey.

I've heard different things about skincare lines. I have one esthetician friend that does what I do-- does whatever works with her skin. Others (like CinnamonGirl) use only one line. I guess it's what works for you.
I use Origins Mint Wash or Laura Mercier 3 in 1 cleanser.
Moisturizer is either Hope in a Bottle by Philosophy or Thin Skin (also by Philosophy), depending on how my skin is feeling that day.
I use Benefit Honey Snap Out of It Scrub, or occasionally Benefit's Pineapple scrub.
Oh, and LM Foundation Primer.

I would just like to say that Origins Mint Wash kicks ass.

*high fives* Yup, it does. Have you tried the LM? Like buttah.. makes your skin feel soooo good... it even takes off eye makeup.

Kanebo Freshel Super Cleansing Wash to remove foundation
Either Purpose Gentle Cleansing Wash or BeneFit Fantasy Mint Wash
GB or Aveeno toner

Nothing. Other than washing my face in the shower-nada. My skin has gone crazy lately-its not being its usual self.

I really love Neutrogena because it's gentle to my sensitive skin, which is a combination of oily and dry, depending on....eh...whatever.
I wash with Neutrogena Foaming Face Wash morning and evening
during the day I wear the Neutrogena benzoyl peroxide stuff...vanishing formula
in the evenings I use their Clear Pore treatment, which has helped balance my skin alot...I was having such dry skin around my chin area and now it's soft and smooth
If I have a breakout I will use their face pads or astringent.
I am a Neutrogena Ho!

Thanks to my skin care goddess (UN Blonde), the following is my new skin care routine: Laura Mercier One Step Cleanser, Philosophy Hope in a Bottle and Jack Black Eye Balm....when I shave (since I'm a boy) I use Philosophy's The Common Man (it numbs your face!) followed by a quick splash of Kiehls Blue Herbal toner and then followed by Hope in a Bottle. At night I slap on a little Philosophy's Thin Skin because UN told me it makes your face feel like a baby's ass.
After a day and a half, I can report I have a healthy glow, signicantly smaller pores and tighter smoother skin.
UN Blonde rocks!
*just for the record, I am a straight male* :)

Hmm...
Daily basis:
Burt's Bees Garden Tomato Complexion soap (i've used this stuff for over a year and it's the first thing that has ever controlled my break-outs)
Neutrogena pore refining toner
moisturizer (i have no idea what it is, something cheap) Neutrogena Multivitamin stuff
and, of course, a Multivitamin!
When needed: Generic Sal-Ac face wash, used as spot treatment for acne (yay for product misuse!), Guabanana Moisturizing mask from skinmarket (when my face is dry)
Burt's Bees Green Goddess Grean tea mask (mixed with either green tea, banana, or egg whites, depending on what i feel like).
Burt's Bees citrus facial scrub (it's ok, a little too, um, greasy for my skin, but it's great on my boyfriend's face)
I need to find a good scrub and moisturizer, i'm thinking benefit's Honey snap out of it since UN blonde gives it a bahzillion thumbs up...

Finally! Someone male listened to me.
You have to tell me about your Cosmetics Adventure, G.... I can't wait to hear about it. :)
I'm glad you like The Common Man, Mark found it a touch drying.

UN~I'll tell you all about it when I catch up to you. I wasn't planning on getting The Common Man, but the Philosophy counter rep wasn't letting me leave without that (btw--she loved that I was male and informed....I like this) and a whole bunch of other testers. She gave me the tester bottles on the counter for free because she said they were going to replace them soon anyway. I got free testers that were practically full of The Common Man, Memory hair gel, both philosophy Eye Creams (that's like 60 bucks), and she gave me the Cinammon Buns tester too.

Woo! This made it to the "threads worth reading" thread! :D
Well, I've found a skin care line I'm very happy with, as I discussed in the Paula Begoun thread. I kept hearing all these good things about Paula's Choice, so I decided to try them, and my skin has honestly NEVER LOOKED BETTER!! I haven't had a SINGLE zit since I started these products, and my nose no longer gets shiny in the afternoon.
(I used all products for normal to oily/combination skin.)
One Step Face Cleanser - This gel cleanser has very little SLS and doesn't really lather. That took some getting used to, but it does a very good job of cleaning. When I wear mascara, I wash my face twice, just to make sure to get all that off. Once doesn't quite cut it, but I've found that to be the case with most facial cleansers. Though it's non-fragranced, it has a subtle scent I could do without.
Final Touch Toner - This toner has no alcohol, so it doesn't irritate my face like most toners do. It simply gives me the bit of moisture I need, and it leaves my face nice and soft.
Blemish Fighting Solution - This is the one product I will be returning. It irritates my skin and makes it blotchy.
1% Beta Hydroxy Acid Solution - This is my favorite product of the line. It exfoliates gently and keeps pores clean. It REALLY works. No more clogged pores on my nose!
Essential Non-Greasy Sunscreen SPF 15 - I thought this sunscreen made my face a little too shiny, but I tried it again this weekend, and it worked great.
Completely Non-Greasy Moisturizer - I use this around my eyes and on my neck and any dry spots. It really is completely non-greasy.
Oil Absorbing Facial Mask - Again, I don't particularly like the smell (it's unscented, but it really isn't without scent), but it leaves my face feeling PERFECT.
You can get free samples too! I recommend you try them :) www.cosmeticscop.com

Joey NY Pure Pores Cleansing Gel or Estee Lauder Splash Away Cleanser (as the Joey stuff seems to be hard to get here in UK...they never have it in stock...)
Estee Lauder Clean Finish Balancing Toner
Estee Lauder Idealist (I defy anyone to use this and not love it!)
Estee Lauder Light Source Lotion or Decleor Instant de Beaute
I also use othet things when I think my skin needs them such as Jurlique Herbal Recovery Gel and Make-Up Remover, Eve Lom cleanser, kiss mix and dynaspot, Clarins Beauty Flash Balm, Jurlique Moor mask...
And god a whole host of shit! I am product mad!

morning:
-cetaphil cleanser
-paula's choice non-greasy sunscreen
-mac moisture feed eye cream but in the cold cold winter months I alternate with paula's skin recovery moisturizer, sometimes I put the skin recovery on dry patches.
evening
-paula's choice cleanser (combo skin version)
-paula's choice toner
-paula's choice 2% bha, the 1% was too feeble for me, I really, really like the 2%
-differin on chin
-eye cream (mac moisture feed eye or paula's choice skin recovery moisturizer)
-keihl's ultra face moisturizer on dry spots
-paula's super antioxidant concentrate on entire face and under the eyes (I'm not sure what this does really, but it makes my face baby soft and really, really good looking)
this will most likely change when summer comes. less creams, just sunscreen during the day
I wash my face in the morning with Cetaphil facial cleanser and at night with it and then at night I add the moisturizer.

i change my routine a lot, but that's my current one and my skin is pretty clear. i'm also taking ortho-tricyclen.
This stuff did more for my kin than anything topical. Thank god for the pill!
I'm a destitute grad student right now, so I'm sticking to drugstore brands. Oil of Olay has an anti aging brand that seems to work pretty well. (The one with the black label). I use their cleanser, the cream, which i moisturize with at night, and the lotion, which i wear under my makeup in the morning. The cleanser has "microbeads" that are supposed to exfoliate, but my face is shedding skin like a damn snake, so i need something better for exfoliation.

I wash my face with either Lush Fresh Farmacy (most days - LOVE) or occasionally this Body Shop face wash that I got on sale that smells like fruit and I want to eat it. About twice I week I use Body Shop seaweed exfoliating scrub (LOVE) or Clinique exfoliating scrub (a gift from someone - it's ok).
I moisturize in the morning with Bare Escentuals Skin Revver Upper/Bare Vitamins. I dont know if it does any good - but while it was expensive, it's been over 4 months and the bottle is still going strong, so I might consider buying it again (though I have a page bookmarked that lists a knockoff that's cheaper).
And that's it for me.
