| Posting Bot  Join Date: Apr 2002 Posts: 3,000  |  I have a question about Macs (More specifically iBooks!!!) help me! Numero one: Does it come installed wtih a program in wchihc I can take songs off a CD and put them ont he computer?? Especially in Wav format (i'm using it for a recording program that mostly works with wavs and AIFF's and I'm not sure about Mp3's) number 2: on iTunes, you download Mp3s right?? ALSO if it doesn't come with a program, can y'all point me to where I may download one? |

I just use itunes to import them from the cd.. and i think it saves it as an .m4a which you can easily burn onto a cd again.. hmm.. 2: I use Limewire and http://www.acquisitionx.com/ on the ibook.. both are really good altho' I prefer acquisitionx cuz that doesn't make the ibook freeze. |

| Posting Bot Join Date: Apr 2002 Posts: 3,000 | WEll I record music on computers ya see? and I'm getting an iBook cause research sez there better for home recording. the progrma I have may or may not (Im almost sure it can) work with Mp3s but just to be sure, I wanna be able to transfer files from this PC onto the iBook and have them end up wavs, not Mp3's. |

| by the way, my fee is 2.6%  Join Date: Jan 2001 Posts: 2,394 | you can configure itunes to rip your CDs into WAVs. itunes can rip into WAV, MP3, AAC and AIFF file formats. __________________ soy mega-magnético. |

| \\\ Join Date: Feb 2000 Posts: 3,264 | iTunes default is m4a files, but you can set it up to import as wavs. I thought the iTunes music store gave you your files in m4a?
