Hanson Singer Marries Long-Time Sweetheart

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - He was just a fresh-faced 14-year-old heartthrob when the pop trio Hanson burst on the scene five years ago with the infectious hit "MMMBop" -- now he's married.


Taylor Hanson, 19, the group's lead singer and keyboardist, exchanged wedding vows last Saturday with his long-time sweetheart, Natalie Anne Bryant, in a small, private ceremony in Pine Mountain, Ga., his publicist said on Friday.

The Tulsa World newspaper reported her age as 18.

"Our wedding was exactly how we envisioned it, romantic and intimate, and surrounded by our families and friends," Hanson said in a statement issued by the group's record label, Island Def Jam.

Taylor Hanson and his brothers, guitarist Isaac and drummer Zachary, are currently finishing work on their next studio album, due out early next year, their label said.

The Tulsa, Oklahoma, natives rose to fame with their 1997 debut album "Middle of Nowhere," featuring the hit song "MMMBop," which went on to top the singles charts in 27 countries.
