I have to say I like this pic A LOT more than the previous production shot.

Here's what the movie's producer told ComicsContinuum

X² producer Lauren Shuler Donner said that Alan Cumming brings the right qualities to his role of Nightcrawler.

"Nightcrawler is a spiritual figure and you had to believe that he was an outcast," Shuler Donner said. "Most of all he has a sense of humor. Alan Cumming has that extra sense of comic timing and comic inventiveness. His essence is fascinating. If you're in a room with Alan, your eyes go right to him. That works for the character.

"We needed Nightcrawler to draw you in not by his blue make-up, but by what's underneath the blue make-up, his versatility, his believability and his vulnerability.

Discussions were held as to which character would end up in the film: Gambit, Beast or Nightcrawler. According to Fox, the nod went to Nightcrawler because "the filmmakers saw the character as a symbol of intolerance, one of the key themes of the comics and the movies."

Nightcrawler will be seen in the first official trailer for X², which reaches theaters on Nov. 29.

In other X² news:

* Producer Ralph Winter explained why the sequel was filmed in Vancouver, rather than Toronto, the site of production for X-Men.

"We chose Vancouver for X2 because it had more and larger space than Toronto - new locations - and snow, which we need for the third act," Winter said.

Filming began on location in Victoria, the provincial capital of British Columbia, where Hatley House at Royal Roads University served as Professor Xavier's mansion. Principal photography wraps in a few weeks in a snowy mountain range.

i think the image of anna/rogue's booty in tight black leather fried my brain temporarily b/c i'm only now noticing there's something odd about the pic of Wolverine. his claws look like they were painted in, and badly painted in at that.
