Is anyone else familiar with Cree Summer and her little known 1999 album, STREET FAERIE???

I've had this album for a couple of years now and I recently picked it up and fell in love with it all over again...I doubt she'll ever put out another album because last I heard, she was dropped by her label because of poor sales...

You might remember Cree Summer from The Cosby Show spin-off, A Different World...she also does many voice overs...most notably Suzie Carmichael(sp?) on the Rugrats cartoon...

Her album was produced by Lenny Kravitz and they even do a duet on one of the tracks...It's so hard to explain this album...it's kind of like organic folk-rock...her voice is so unbelievably sexy...it's raspy, yet soft and fleshy...I just can't reccomend this album enough...If you haven't heard it, I would suggest that you download some songs...you will not be disappointed...if you're interested, check out these songs:

...or just take a gamble and buy her album...it's probably really cheap...or find it used...

i havent listened to that album in a while
but i agree
it is kinda good

a guilty pleasure

Oh yes, I love that album, but you forgot to mention her best song on it: Revelation Sunshine!!! That song alone is worth the entire album... get it, NOW!!!
