Music Carbon cell phone ringtone

Don't know how good this is...I just spent way too long making it for my new Motorola v60i. But just in case anyone wants to give it a whirl:

Carbon: C#2 D#2 D#2 R2 B2 C#2 C#2 A#2 A#2 B2 B2 A#2 A#2 R2 R2 F#2 R2 C#2 R2 C#2 R2 R2 F#2 E2 D#2 B2 B2 A#2 G#-2

I'd love to have a Carbon ringtone, but my cell phone uses a different format. Is there any way you could convert your keypress sequence to RTTTL (text format)? Or a MIDI?

Okiedokies...

I got bored and was playing around with the main piano riff, and I came up with a half-decent ringtone...it sounds a little weird because there's no way to accent the right beats...i.e. it sounds like 3/4 time instead of 6/8, for those of us who know some music theory. Maybe if I have time I'll try the vocal line later, but as far as I know there's no way to directly convert Audrey's ringtone into RTTTL. The Motorola V60i is an awesome phone, but it uses a completely different format from anything my converter can handle. But here it is in RTTTL format:

Carbon=16,o=5,b=85#,a#,b,d#6,a#,b,g#,a#,b,f#6,a#,b,g#,a#,b,f6,a#,b,c#6,b,c#6,b,c#6,d#6,g#,a#,b,d #6,a#,b,g#,a#,b,f#6,a#,b,g#,a#,b,f6,a#,b,c#6,b,c#6,b,c#6,b,c#6,d#6

...And in Nokia Composer:

Notes/Errors:
NOTE: Tone Name is: Carbon
NOTE: Tempo is: 85 BPM

Tone:
16#g1 16#a1 16b1 16#d2 16#a1 16b1 16#g1 16#a1 16b1 16#f2 16#a1 16b1 16#g1 16#a1 16b1 16f2 16#a1 16b1 16#c2 16b1 16#c2 16b1 16#c2 16#d2 16#g1 16#a1 16b1 16#d2 16#a1 16b1 16#g1 16#a1 16b1 16#f2 16#a1 16b1 16#g1 16#a1 16b1 16f2 16#a1 16b1 16#c2 16b1 16#c2 16b1 16#c2 16b1 16#c2 16#d2

...And in Nokia Keypress:

Notes/Errors:
NOTE: Tone Name is: Carbon
NOTE: Tempo is: 85 BPM
NOTE: () around a note means to hold the button for 3 seconds
NOTE: Do not enter spaces. They are just for making things easier to read

Tone:
588# 6# 7 2#* 6#** 7 5# 6# 7 4#* 6#** 7 5# 6# 7 4* 6#** 7 1#* 7** 1#* 7** 1#* 2# 5#** 6# 7 2#* 6#** 7 5# 6# 7 4#* 6#** 7 5# 6# 7 4* 6#** 7 1#* 7** 1#* 7** 1#* 7** 1#* 2#

I can also make files for EMS (whatever that is...never heard of it), Kyocera (Yay for the 3035!), and Samsung phones because of this nifty little program I have. So if anyone who has one of these kinds of phones wants my Carbon ringtone, just post the model number and I'll try to attach a file.

Sorry to double-post, but I just made a MIDI of the same tone, so anyone who's curious can hear it...

You're welcome!

As for other songs...well, find me a MIDI and I'll do my best. But I gotta warn you that I'm a busy pre-med student, so you might have to wait a little.

BTW...the program I use to convert RTTTL to phone formats is called MerWin's Tones4All, and for MIDI to RTTTL, it's IguanaRing. They're freeware, so search and download if you want to make your own rings! They're not too hard to figure out, you just have to play around with them a little.

EDIT: Hmmm...the MIDI works fine for me. Did you try right click/Save As? It's a zip file, so try unzipping it to your hard drive and see if it works...

That's really neat!! I have one question, though. Seeing as how technology and I don't usually get along so well, I don't know how to change a phone's ringtone...like, to program one, anyway. Can sprint phones do it? I don't think they can, but does anyone know otherwise? Thanks!

Not sure about Sprint phones. They're not on the list of compatible phones for any programs that I have. I would check your user manual or tech support to see if your phone can handle any of the Nokia types.

I'm only technologically inclined when it's a product I own...so everyone should go out and buy a Kyocera 3035 if they want help from me.

BTW...I made a Kyocera version of Mother a while ago, but I didn't save the Nokia formats. If anyone wants it, I can probably dig up the MIDI and re-save it without too much effort...just say the word.
