nose piercing!!

how here has one or wants one?

i am going to try my hardest to go to the city this weekend and get one.

i am so fucking excited. ive been wanting one since i was about 9. *dances*

i cant decide which side to get it on though. i guess it doesnt matter but....

something like this would be grand.
not a really tiny stud, but a good size.
i dont know anythng about the sizes of jewelery, the hole, gauging, jada, jada...can someone run that stuff past me?
oh and how long do you have to keep the initial stud that you first get when you get pierced?

and does anyone know of any good piercing sites for jewelery. i want to look at some cute stuff to buy myself after i get pierced.

this week has been so exciting and good. i strted college two days ago, i was nervous as fuck but it went well. and i had an even better day today, met an AMAZING girl. ahh. i fucking love college...so far.

funny thing is that i never bothered to get my ears pierced. if i feel like it i'll get that done at the same time.

I've wanted one since I was in high school. I dunno if I'll ever actually go through with it...maybe once I find a new job.

I've always wanted my nose pierced, but have never gone through with it. Around here, it's the law that the nose has to be pierced with a ring, not a stud. I'd only be able to handle a small stud in my nose - I'd probably whip out the piercing if my nose was pierced with a ring. I couldn't handle a ring in my eyebrow and took that out after about two months.

I'm glad things are going so well for you in college! how exciting.

I have a nose ring. Have had it for about 2.5 years. It's a tiny little silver stud on the left side. I've had absolutely NO problems with it at all; in fact, I never take it out except to clean it, and I hardly if ever even know it's there. I love it (coming from a person who has had belly button rings rip out of the skin and cartilege piercings go awry several times).

Yay for you & liking college. It's great fun, innit?

what was the piercing process like? did it hurt a lot? how long do you have to keep the initial stud in before putting in new jewelery?

i had my nostril pierced, it looked good i liked it a lot. i've had 3 total facial piercings and i'd say that the nostril was the second most painful, which wasn't terribly painful at all. it'll be sensitive for a few days but it gets better. i was told by my piercer that it would take a month to 3 at most... mine healed up within a month completely and i was able to change the jewelery if i chose to but i never did. i no longer have my nostril pierced though, something fucked up and i ended up with an infection later on... i guess it some how got really irritated and opened some skin then got infected. it was pretty painful. <<< my form of encouragement to clean it even after it's healed.

I got one last year, and I adored it. Just a tiny stud in the left side. And I was in the car on a long drive just a few days after I got it, and I had an itch on my nose. So I scratched without thinking. And the damn thing flew out of my nose and onto the floor and I couldn't pull over to find it and put it back in before the hole closed. Sad sad sad.

I really want to get it done again. I think they're adorable.

I have my right nostril pierced. I think I've had it for three years now? I had it pierced with a tiny silver stud. Despite cleaning it, mine did get infected for about a month after, but it cleared up fairly quickly.

can someone tell me what the gauge is for the stud in the picture i posted above?

im still not sure how this sizing thing works. i dont want one of those really tiny specks but i dont want a huge one, and that one looks like what i want.

i guess i'll see what my options are when i get there. how much do you think it would be about? im figuring like 40, 50 bucks?

simple thing to remember about gauges: bigger numbers = smaller jewelery. the tiny specks are 20s or 22s i believe so you may want to try an 18, perhaps even a 16 though i doubt it's a 16

fuck. i am so hyper. i cant sleep, i tried a bunch of times and i have crazy cramps and pains in my tummy. AND i have to go to my dr tomorrow. although im glad because i really need to, my anxiety has been crazy lately.

) ...I actually just got my ears pierced a few months ago, but besided that and my belly button, I'm too scared to do anything else!! good luck...

I had a nose ring for a couple of years-I loved it when I had it. I took it out because I had gotten a job as a secretary in a University and facial piercings were a no-no at work. So instead of taking it out every day and putting it back it, I was lazy and just took it out and let it close up. But the thing I love about that is since it closed up, I can't even tell that it was ever pierced at all. I have holes in the cartiledge of my ears that haven't had earrings in them in years and you can still see where they were pierced.
*oh, and the piercing hurts a bit, but it's really not that bad and the pain goes away pretty quickly (I was completely pain free by day 3). I found ear cartiledge piercings to be much more painful and longer healing time (just something to compare it too-assuming you might have the tops of your ears pierced...)

I have my right nostril pierced. It's been about a year. I had some very nasty infections for a few months after I pierced it, which may or may not have been due to the fact that I was getting sick alot during that time. I would keep it very very clean for the first few moths, with anti-bacterial soap or something else your peircer has on hand for that sort of thing.

Also, I have an 18 guage and I think it's great. I have a stud like that. But, I would strongly recommend (for the comfort factor) that you get a hoop for the first month or so. Honestly.
