| Too hard to break  Join Date: Apr 2001 Posts: 9,765   |  The Dreaming vs Hounds of love I told you a few weeks ago that I was a new Kate fan and I had ordered "The Dreaming". Well, after 3 long weeks, I finally received the cd!! It is SOOOO amazing, so unique, so scary, so mysterious, so impressive. I am sooo happy with it, it makes HOL sound so inferior (but still a superb album!) Anyway, I was wondering, since I have read that the two more popular Kate albums are these two, I thought of doing a little poll to see which one is better. I looked at the last 3 or 4 pages and didn't see a poll like this, so don't shoot me if this has been done! Pick your favorite and if you feel like it, give reasons why you like it better than the other one  __________________ |

| Rising On The Wings of the Sun  |  Hounds Of Love, I choose YOU!  While I love the dark, bombastic genius of The Dreaming (and really, where would Bjork be without this album? hehe), Hounds Of Love strikes a much more powerful and personal chord within me. HOL is an exceptional album by anyone's standards, but no other album by any artist has the same effect on me that The Dreaming has. The well constructed narratives, the brilliant music that accompanies the narratives, and the vocals are all out of this world...literally. No other album has ever reached the genius of The Dreaming to me, and I'm beginning to think no other album ever will. |

| there's a haunting here  Join Date: Oct 2000 Posts: 28,213 |  I chose Hounds of Love and not because I think the music is better because both albums are parallel to each other on that plane. But I think HOL is produced better and is a much stronger and tighter album as far as structure and song placement is concerned. My love for The Dreaming was instant. Sure, some songs took a little longer than other, but I loved it from the start.
