Greene Performance Space. With listeners writing in from as far north as Buffalo, New York and as far south as Austin, Texas to request an up close and personal visit with Ms. Amos, Soundcheck and The Greene Space teamed up to relocate the interview into WNYC’s recently opened, 120-seat street-level, multiplatform broadcast studio and performance space. Ms. Amos will appear on Soundcheck in The Greene Space on Wednesday, December 9th at 2pm. Tickets are $10, but audiences can also enjoy the interview and performance as a live video webcast at WNYC.org. Some unlikely artists have produced holiday albums this year, including Bob Dylan and metal god Rob Halford of Judas Priest. But Tori Amos – the minister’s daughter who titled her last album “Abnormally Attracted to Sin” – might be the most surprising candidate. Ms. Amos will talk with Schaefer about the process of overhauling Christmas carols and perform songs from her own contribution to the genre, “Midwinter Graces.” * * * WHO: Tori Amos WHAT: Soundcheck with John Schaefer live from The Greene Space WHEN: Wednesday, December 9th, 2-3pm WHERE: WNYC’s Jerome L. But for $10, not bad IMO. | | | 11-20-2009, 11:22 AM | #4 | | ...running to a constellation... Ah well, I'm going to the eTown show so it'd be a little greedy to try to do both. That said, if anyone had any extras, I'd be willing to purchase them. | | | 11-20-2009, 01:36 PM | #7 | | They will eat your baby cat. They will! Glad it's also only $10. | | | 11-20-2009, 03:21 PM | #8 | | Orbes Volantes Exstare Join Date: Aug 2001 Posts: 510 | Damn, already sold out. | | | 11-20-2009, 03:32 PM | #9 | | 2-0-0-9 Join Date: Apr 2007 Posts: 2,093 | Anyone have extras? | | | 11-20-2009, 04:44 PM | #10 | | @ newbie Join Date: Feb 2001 Posts: 13 | I may, TheFreestMan--I got two but my husband's not sure if he can make it. I was stupid and only bought one for myself and now a friend wants to come with. I'd be really grateful. | | | 11-20-2009, 10:00 PM | #12 | | Callum's gum-chewing animal turd bitch Join Date: Nov 2001 Posts: 19,375 | Please remember that threads about live performances (even when not of a tour proper) belong in the Tour and Review Forum. I wasn't quite sure and since the tickets were on sale immediately I figured posting in the main section would be better. I've never gone to radio promo before. I'm really excited. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | All times are GMT -4.
