yes she has always done reasonably well with what she released. Glory of the 80s was midweek top 40 but fell down after being removed from most shops with the b side fiasco - and a lot of people returned their copies thinking they had the wrong cd in them - not realising they were all like that, which unwound the sales. Other than that, only China and God did not do well. But God was the 4th single from a number 1 album and so most Tori fans already had the main track. China was before Tori was known to anyone. Silent All these years was reissued by public demand for the song which tells you something. Tori has also had consitent album success in the UK, even Boys for pele went straight to number 2, which wasnt a very commercial album . It was only behind Oasis who were at their height. And TVAB made #22 , which was excellent , considering shops were charging up to £22.99 for it! (£19.99 in most shops) |
