I think she is Brilliant, just as good as Tori and Alanis for me!!! | | | 08-26-2001, 03:22 PM | #2 | | By the roots of my hair Join Date: Aug 2001 Posts: 181 | I like Sinead too... for me the preferable option over Alanis. I heard that Sinead is currently working on her new album with Dave Stewart, and that she has just recorded a duet with Siobhan Fahey called 'We're in Recovery'! Can't wait to hear it. | | | 08-26-2001, 05:29 PM | #3 | | banned Join Date: Apr 2001 Posts: 2,150 | Oh God. A. Romanova - prove your source. It seems too good to be true. I read this in two places, one was at www.shakespear-sister.com another through the 'popbitch' mail.. Siobhan is also releasing a new album, as indicated through the Times, who interviewed Dave, and mentioned that Siobhan would be 'returning to her musical career'. | | | 08-26-2001, 05:54 PM | #5 | | banned Join Date: Apr 2001 Posts: 2,150 | I pretty much gave up on going to that site (shakespears-sister.com) after the official site had the "get over it" message regarding the non-release of the third SS album. I am very very very very very very very glad Siobhan is making music again. Shakespears Sister kicks ass and I love love love love love Siobhan and Sinead... Thank you! The .com site is an unnoficial one, and 'Popbitch' are usually very reliable... I think she will be touring again by Christmas. Did you ever hear the third album? Also, the new stuff will be out under the Siobhan Fahey banner, not Shakespears Sister. So SS R.I.P Long live Siobhan Fahey!! LOL! | | | 08-26-2001, 06:56 PM | #7 | | banned Join Date: Apr 2001 Posts: 2,150 | I never expected her to use the SS name for the new stuff. And no, I never ever heard the bulk of the third album, which is why I was eagerly awaiting the eventual release. I paid a hefty amount of cash for the "I Can Drive" single and I adore all three songs on it. The only other tracks I've heard are "Can You Wait That Long?" and "Opportunity Knockers". I desperately want to hear more. Plus - are we supposed to infer that Siobhan is working with Dave Stewart again, despite the bitterness regarding the divorce and everything. If so, more power to them. THIS IS SUCH GREAT NEWS!!! Sean | | | 08-26-2001, 07:11 PM | #8 | | By the roots of my hair Join Date: Aug 2001 Posts: 181 | The album is quite fantastic! I have never tired of it, and I must of had it since about 1998... it is one of the best albums I own...quite unlike Hormonally Yours or Sacred Heart. A bloody good album, and such a shame that it will not be released. I cannot wait for the new Siobhan material... I think we should know dates of releases by about September. | | | 08-27-2001, 04:58 PM | #9 | | @ctive member Join Date: Aug 2001 Posts: 298 | OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I wasn't aware that a Sinead thread had been started "a few threads ago" I didn't see it. My apologies for the repetition | | | 08-27-2001, 09:05 PM | #10 | | Eskimo Friend Join Date: Feb 2000 Posts: 4,224 | is she really working on a new album? Dave Stewart worked with her on her last one as well... This was at the sinead site that i check every now and then. It says that sinead has put her career on hold for a while... "August 9, 2001 - [Handed by James Hammonds] - Popstar priest, Sinead O’Connor has revealed her wish to become a full-time wife and mother and put her singing career temporarily on hold. “I’m back home and in touch with my family. I am not caught up with being a rock star and I am in love. I feel as if I have died and gone to heaven,” she admitted. She has recently publicly announced her relationship with journalist and heir to the Swedish throne, Nick Sommerland, who she claims is ‘the first man I have ever loved’ and who she plans to marry in the future. The troubled star has made countless headlines with her controversial ways but now has a desire to settle and discard stardom as she reveals, “You know when you’ve met the right man. All I want to do is have more babies and look after my husband.” | | | 08-30-2001, 02:51 PM | #11 | | banned Join Date: Apr 2001 Posts: 2,150 | "I don't want to be no man's woman..." She contradicts herself so but you just have to love her anyway. Sean | | | 08-30-2001, 11:37 PM | #12 | | Impeccable Peccadillo Join Date: Jul 2001 Posts: 3,862 | Yes. I think she is great. I absolutely love the song "Fire On Babylon." Not to mention the fact that she is soooo beautiful. ~Skye | | | 08-31-2001, 06:37 PM | #13 | | hot little pistol Join Date: Nov 2000 Posts: 6,889 | i love sinead | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | All times are GMT -4.
