It's ALL over Napster. And let me just say... I can't WAIT for the 19th. Downloaded 2 songs so far, this woman never fails to impress me, my god she is rockin! This is when I come in defense of Napster... even though I can very well burn Bjork's new cd for myself after an assload of d/l time, it doesn't even compare to buying the brand spanking new one and the satisfaction that you're maybe helping getting her the recognition she deserves. Plus she's always got those neato covers, can't wait to see what Selmasongs brings!

Talker

Bit of a sidenote now that I've had a chance to listen to what *appears* to be the entire new cd... it's the soundtrack to Bjork's new film, Dancer in the Dark. If it weren't for that, Selmasongs would have to be sold more as a maxi-b-sides than an album on its own. Like any soundtrack, the majority of the songs are short, and leave you with a kind of incomplete feeling, leaves you hanging. But I know a bunch of you will love the duet with Thom Yorke, it reminds me a lot of the Plant/Amos "Seaside" number. Very pretty. My personal fave is "Cvalda," it's so cute and catchy! Not that I mean to be comparing, but it's VERY much like Tori's "Happy Workers" from the film Toys. They're both about/in factories, fer cryin outloud, complete with the onamadapeoia. (sp) "Selmasongs," unless it's missing some parts, is very very short. But it's a must-have for all you Bjorkiephiles out there; if you dig the girl, you'll dig this.

<font face="comic sans ms">I can't, can't, CAN'T wait for Selma Songs to be released. I have only downloaded the duet with Thom so far (I couldn't resist..) but I think it's fabulous.

This is such a great year for new releases!

(btw, it's onomatopoeia)

i'm trying not to d/l any selmasongs (except for thom and bjork: i couldn't resist either!) because when i found the "bliss" mp3, i played it OVER AND OVER AND OVER too much, and i got bored with that fantastic song...oh well...i'm waiting for the "real thing"

Thanks Lcky.... it was nearing 5am and I didn't care enough to think about it. I'm just kinda miffed the cd is SO short... unless the original that made it out there was only a sampler, or something. Seriously, altogether the songs make up less than 20 minutes of music, maybe 15. dunno dunno dunno, havta wait for the official release.

hehehe

Ok ok, to add on to the list of good songs that last more than a minute... which are all the ones I'm listing... the track titled "The Musicals 1&2" rock too. She's just... so frikkin ingenious in the rhythms she makes up and sticks to strings without making it awkward. PRAYING the cd is longer than it looks.

Crazy Eyes

no sleep + crack + good music makes pYx go CRAZEEEEE!

Don't worry, it gets worse. Muahhahahahahahaha.

And stuff.

Still enjoying the hell out of the whole 20 mins of music that appears to make up Selma... haven't seen any other titles on Napster. Anyone know if there's an official track listing somewhere?

Looking Around

What you can find on the internet is probably taken from the promo sampler of Selma Songs (which is in my cd board for 3 weeks now... hehehehe). So far no copies of the "real" album have surfaced on the planet. But it's probably got more than 7 songs on it...

And Scatterheart... OMG!!!

You're gonna have to find out for yourse-helf
